"Good luck taking bags up 5 flights of stairs single elevator has been down for maintenance for a while with no eta. Would have booked somewhere else had I known. Lobby gave me high hopes but having 1 elevator and ppl walking up to 4th and 5th floors multiples time a day is a damper"

"An exceptional hotel in the center of the city, pretty and charming. The Palihotel San Francisco is probably my favorite hotel in the world. It is unique, with its own character and soul, offering a lot of charm. The hotel is stylish, modern and very well decorated. The rooms are of good taste, clean, comfortable, and big enough. The bathrooms are great, with walk-in showers and nice soaps from Diptyque. Location is great too, right next to Union Square, enabling you to travel around very easily. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel too, which is very convenient. Regarding safety, I felt safe going out even being alone as it’s in a good area of the neighbourhood. It is my second stay here, and I’m sure I’ll come again."

"In November 2023, I ended up in San Francisco for an event and chose the Palihotel in San Francisco due to its central location in the city and its closeness to my event. The hotel is truly lovely. The rooms are exactly as depicted in the photos. Clean, with a midcentury modern twist (which I like), comfortable AND actually stocked with a real snake plant! There is no dusty, simulated foliage here folks! Despite the hotel being located on a busy street, I had no issue with noise from the street. I was, however, located on a higher floor (6 I think). While the hotel no longer has its own restaurant, they do offer guests an assortment of pastries on the 2nd floor every morning in the lounge. I didn't find the hotel not having a restaurant to be an issue considering the hotel is in the middle of several restaurants, low to mid range. The lounge was comfortable and is ideal if you are traveling with a group and want to spread out a bit. The front desk was attended to by Donny and Rachel. Both were incredibly accommodating and pointed me in the direction of finding whatever I needed. The housekeeping staff was really responsive and consistently courteous to my requests as well. I really enjoyed my visit to San Francisco and my stay at the Palihotel was definitely a contributing factor. I hope to find another reason to be in San Francisco so I can stay at the Palihotel once more. Thank you Donny, Rachel and staff!"

"I was looking for a good hotel, well located, for a fair price and I found it! All the staff was very polite and attentive. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is really well located and I could walk or cycle everywhere. The elevator was always working and never crowded. Although announced in their website, my room didn't have an Nespresso coffee machine, but they did offer a very simple complimentary breakfast in the second floor, with coffee, milk and basic pastries."

"Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of San Francisco. It's the perfect location to get around and see the sights on the city. Staff are great, Donny and the hotel manager were amazing. The location is the best thing about the hotel. Close to everything and very accessible. Rooms go quickly so try to book early."
