The Pickwick Hotel 85 5th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103

"If I could give the hotel 0 stars I would. First and foremost we are almost 100% sure the mirror in our room was a two way mirror. The hotel itself was older and like a boutique type vibe. But the two way mirror just like anyone would ruin their entire trip. Luckily we booked an air bnb and it restored our time! But please beware of this hotel and the potential that more rooms have two way mirrors in them."

"I loved the hotel. It was quaint and comfy. The staff were amazeballs! Everyone greeted the guests, joked around, have some awesome recommendations, and genuinely wished us a fun and memorable time in the city. I overheard guests complaining because of street noise and the unsheltered but the hotel has no control over either one of those situations. It's downtown San Fran and the hotel sits off a main road. It seemed very entitled and petty to me."

"Not really worth the price. But if you're in the city and need a place to stay it has convenient parking. Hot water tem and pressure on the third floor was not great and you can hear all the fun in the next room. It is an older building so just know everything runs a little smaller."

"Avoid this hotel - toxic and nasty smelling! We originally booked for 5 nights and we left immediately. Good location but the rooms are just gross. The manager gave us a refund for the remaining nights but didn't even bat an eye or express any regret that it didn't work out for us. Luckily, the Hampton Inn around the corner had availability and the staff there was friendly and very accommodating. You have been warned!!!"

"Excellent staff and service. I arrived earlier than expected (well before official checkin) and they were able to get me settled in nicely. You can definitely hear street noise at all hours, but that applies to all hotels in this area. Comfy bed, excellent value. Short walk to BART, the street car, and many buses."
