"The rooms were clean and service was friendly and quick. For example, we were able to get bedding switch from down-based to hypoallergenic without any issues. Folks at checkin were easy to reach over the phone at the 413 number and they had good advice for where to get amenities in the hotel. Staff at the bar were also very friendly and fun to talk to."
"I enjoyed this hotel in downtown SF. Very clean and surrounded by places you can easily walk to. The service was great and the room was comfortable and included all the amenities I could need for a work trip. The views in the room were great as well overlooking the bay."
"What a great hotel! Stayed here for a work event and was really impressed. My room was ready despite me checking in nearly four hours early, and the room itself was immaculate. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and professional. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if the opportunity presented itself."
"We stay in this area every year. The Marriott Marquis is our usual place but we've also stayed at most of the others. Intercontinental was a nice surprise, with the nicest rooms and amenities. Of note: a nice pool; plenty of shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion; and motorized blackout blinds controlled from bed!"
"Hotel is quite nice but service is definitely not 5*. * There is a notice in the room that the alarm clocks are sensitive but have been programmed to not go off. Our alarm went off at 6.00am regardless. Mentioned this at checkout and received a “I’m sorry” but no mention of raising this with housekeeping team or an offer of a few points. Why have an alarm clock in 2024? * There was chilled water in the lobby on one day but not the next day. This needs to be consistent. * Other guest’s room service carts littered the hallways overnight and for much of the next day. * As far as I could tell there was no Platinum check-in desk. We were not offered a platinum room upgrade and when we asked it seemed like it was a big deal for them and required many phone calls and visits to the back office. We were made to feel like we were asking for something that is not offered as a published perk of platinum status. * We were given late checkout of 12 noon but housekeeping came into the room without knocking while we were in the room. Location is sketchy. Not the fault of the hotel but there are nicer parts of San Francisco."
