"The room was unbelievably noisy. We mesured over 48dB non stop. Room is literally next to the main building outisde fan with extremely poor isolation. 48dB is about 16-32 times louder than the maximum based sound for hotel on American legislation. Anyway you guys must change that, some of the room are just horrible."
"I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and calmness of this hotel. Room, lobby, elevators all clean and nice. Room was huge with no smell (other reviews mentioned a smell which I was worried about). Only room complaint was that the fridge was barely cold and the safe didn't work but other than that it was clean and well stocked. Bed was comfortable. Lots of towels, coffee, in the room. I knocked off a star bc there was no valet parking or anyone outside to help direct you what to do which was confusing on the busy street. I left my bf with the car and the reception host said for us to unload our luggage and park at the 5th and Mission lot which was $45/overnight and not secured."
"This used to be my go-to hotel when staying in SF especially when I would do a night with my now 19 year old. I don’t know what’s happened but this has been a truly disappointing experience starting when we arrived to drop the car and our bags before walking to lunch. I parked out front and waited for the valet who didn’t come out. I inadvertently parked in the bike lane when we took our bags in and they wouldn’t move my car until I parked in the lane outside the valet parking signs. The folks at the desk were not friendly and helpful and it was if we were burdening them with our arrival. The fact that I’d stayed here a half dozen times should have shown in my profile. Our room has windows facing essentially a brick wall and the windows of another room. For the same rate in years past I’ve had actual views of the Sf streets. It doesn’t seem to be busy in the hotel so I would have expected they would have given us a nicer room if for nothing else than to engender good will and give Sf a better reputation. We won’t be staying here again. I am very disappointed."
"Service was great, front desk staff were friendly. Rooms were not in good condition bed was not as pictured, bathroom dirty. Could tell the room had been used a lot, lots of wear and tear. Location was amazing, building secure."
"Let’s start with the most alarming things. There was a rat in the lobby last night. I verified with the security guard on site who saw the same thing. One of the elevators had an odor (like it was cleaned with a sour mop), and the other just didn’t work. It was like a scary movie. This hotel is more of a decorated hostel vs an experience hotel. The rooms are pretty subpar from pictures and quite dusty (there was actually a purifier in our room to help support air quality ). If you’re on a budget, the hotel isn’t that bad (besides the rats). But if you want a good experience at a clean + functional hotel, go elsewhere. Side note - I told the lady at the front desk there was a rat in the lobby and she didn’t seem to care. But maybe they are just used to those kind of things."
