"$250 deposit on a $60 room. Hotel room isn't even nice and y'all asking$250 for damages and all. Those rooms take less than $100 to fix. They are dirty, nasty rooms. It's a scam. Plus whoever works front desk deserves to be fired. Just called and right off the bat worst customer service I have received. I'd shut this place down if I could."
"The keywords here: you get what you pay for. The hotel itself was not too bad if you’re staying here for a couple nights and plan on spending the majority of your time in the city away from here. The bathrooms were probably the filthiest I’ve ever encountered. Hair and mold were present. The toilet and shower are communal. I urge everyone to invest in shower shoes. The sink, hair dryer (smelled like burnt hair) and refrigerator are in the room. WiFi was surprisingly good. Timed TV access with no remote. The bedding was clean, smelled recently washed. The hallways reeked of some odor (perhaps weed or urine), but you couldn’t smell it from the room. Vending machine present, along with seemingly complimentary juice. Room floor was tacky. Room was quiet. Attendants were accommodating. Room was secure with card key access and deadbolt. The neighborhood itself is about a 1/2 mile from the nearest BART station (20th and Mission) MUNI line 49 ran on both sides of the street. Wasn’t the most safe feeling, but I wasn’t mugged or anything. The closest coffee shop was Lataza and I counted 4 mini-marts along with many street vendors to the station. If I had time to plan, I’d go somewhere else. I got what I paid for and nothing came to me as a surprise. This place is great for solo travelers not afraid of what I mentioned."
"Not sure why the reviews are so bad. For this price in the city it’s a great deal. The place is a little shabby but not terrible. Rooms got a tv, fridge, and a sink. Worst thing is the communal bathrooms, be warned it is BYO Toilet Paper. Heard about bed bugs in some of the other reviews, but I personally just sprayed down the bed and threw a sleeping bag over it so I didn’t have any problems. All in all if you have the right expectations and need to save money it’s not a bad choice."
"You get what you pay for with this "hotel." It's more like a hostel/hotel than a traditional hotel. It's a cheap hotel in a working class neighborhood... don't expect luxury and you'll be ok. The nice thing about San Francisco is how walkable it is. You'll be close to a lot of other cool parts of town. The bathrooms are shared but single-stall so you're not actually interacting with anyone else while you're in there. This made me feel safer during COVID times. Rooms have a sink at least. Bed is not terribly comfortable, but hey, I knew what I was getting myself into. My biggest complaint is the bathroom closest to my room NEVER had toilet paper during my 3-night stay, which made me think it was not regularly being cleaned. The entire hotel could definitely use a deep clean and some upgrades as well. The front desk workers also never really wore a mask, which is not great during these times. There is a paid parking lot next to the hotel for $20-25 per 24 hours. Basically: it's cheap for a reason. Adjust your expectations accordingly. For me, it was just a place to sleep at night so that was fine."
"My stay was excellent. They clearly work very hard to keep the building clean. My room with a sink was great. Had a huge closet. Could be a bedroom for a child. Super quiet. Funny when people order the least expensive rooms because they don’t have a private bath and then complain that it doesn’t have one. Hotel is in a great location. The value for room in SF is outstanding."
