"I would never use this braid shop again 1st the lady Sally lied like she could catch short hair and when I get to my appointment the next day it was another young lady there. Sally only braided the ends down on one side.. I’ve only had my hair braided for 2 weeks max and my hair looks like a 6 year old did it with there eyes close. I really feel like this shop played in my head."

"Every time I go to get my hair done, they look good and last 3mos. I had one or two braids come out two weeks after but I expected them to because it was very short hair in the back. I called them back when it happened and they replaced them for free and they did not come out until I was ready to take them out. I even went on a cruise and sweat and snorkeled under water and never lost a braid. They were waiting on me to get to the shop each time I came and finished sooner than I expected."

"I went to Discount Braids on May 30, 2018. They overcharged me, they were an hour and a half late showing up at the shop, the lace was filthy and they were talking African to each other over me almost the entire time. I am new in the city and took a chance. I was quoted $60-80 over the phone and it changed to $120 when I asked before she began to braid my hair. I will not be going back the place was filthy it hadn’t seen a broom or dusting since it opened. I had a 9 am appointment when I got there the place wS locked and no one answered the door. I called and they had mixed up my appointment and asked me to come back in an hour. It was almost 10:30 am before they got started. One operator was asleep on the sofa most of the time. She got up one time to take braids out for a customer and then back on the sofa to sleep. The braider I had was braiding too tightly and had to be told when she started each braid it was too tight. She finished my hair in 3 hours. The hair braiding looked good. I haven’t had any problems with it so far. But I will not be making a return visit. I would nit recommend them to anyone."
