"I lived at Fox River crossing for two and a half years it was a nightmare. They're going on their third person in the office if they can find one. And they're on their second maintenance man if they can find one halfway decent. Ludwig management company that's over these apartments are slumlords and they don't pay the people in the office much money so they end. So when you look for a place do a review see who the management company is and make sure it's not Ludwig. The air conditioning has never worked right I had three new ones put in throughout my time there. The garage door always freezes in the upward position in the winter and you have a homeless camp right down the road anybody could come in use the elevator to come up to the apartments. Down in the garage were the green bin is for the garbage is filthy. Sometimes the garbage doesn't even get out for a Friday's pickup. The management office and the people that work in the offices at Fox River crossing they Don't Care about Us seniors they call us a bunch of babies if anything goes wrong instead of fixing it. And some of the people that live there are a bunch of pigs can't even pick up after themselves. And there's too many dogs that live with their owners. People you do not want to live there it's a pigsty. When the third year comes in October this year the rent has gone up $200 and for what? Nothing is done good for the people that live there. The management company is money hungry. It's not worth the price. People are moving out constantly and in a hurry. The front door was broke for about 3 months anybody would come in that didn't belong there. For a new place lot of things were broken. And it's very very very noisy. You got the trains going by constantly except for the weekend thank God. You got constant sirens from the police cars the ambulances and the fire trucks. I had to wear earplugs at night to get any sleep. It's on a six-lane highway on State Street so can you imagine?"
"They need to either update ALL their postings on EVERY apartment search website OR take them down completely if they in fact don't have availability coming up in the very near future (weeks to a couple months available)."
"This company is ruthless in how it treat seniors and their families. One of thier senior tenants passed. The lease CLEARY states the deposit amount but the company has choosen to dispute what is in writting. The family was gracious in cleaning the apartment out in the timeframe they were given. In return, the company is disputing the refund. It is ENOUGH for the family to have to deal with the lost of their love one and NOW this company is disputing what is clear in writting. To add insult to injury, one of the office employee's have been extremly rude to the family. In reading the reviews, most of the positive ones are from the employees however, one would think, since this is a rental company, information on how they treat their tenants would be what's important."
"I have called no less than 10 times over the past 2 weeks and no one has returned my voicemails. I was called beginning of September letting us know there was an open apartment for our father, and from that point there has been zero communication since. I get that you’re busy but this is beyond ridiculous at this point. You’re only open 9-3, answering phones should be a priority. I’d hate to imagine how you treat your resident’s issues if this is how you treat perspective tenants. I will monitor my post and will remove it once this has been resolved. If t is deleted, I will repost until resolved."
"Been Looking for my own apartment and my mom and i thought Fox River Crossing looked really nice and thought the price was decent. Tried calling both numbers I found for this place several times, and half the time it rings a few Times then disconnects me, the other half it says the number you are dialing is not in service. Seems really sketchy if you ask me. I want someone from Fox River Crossing management office to get back to me. I emailed you guys several days ago and still have not heard back. I want someone from Fox River Crossing management office to get back to me immediately. When and if this issue is resolved, i will change my review."
