"This is one of the worst organizations to work for I have ever seen in my 50 years of employment. No I have never worked for this school but people close to me have and they have been looked over based on their gender and race. I don't understand why a class action law suit has not started up to stop these people from continuing their good old boy practices. It doesn't matter how much of your self you pour into this company because they will promote a hot dog sells person 1st if they like them over people who have been working their forever. From what I have observed their HR Department is not doing their job because people who are not qualified to even apply for positions are being hired and promoted. These are the people that are in charge of developing our youth, but they could use some training themself. Employees need to not put up with this and start banning together and find a good lawyer. I have spent the last 35 years as Vice President for several companies and I know a bad company when I see one. This is a bad place to work with unfair hiring and promotion practices."
"LORAN Crane ought to be fired. I went to 2 of his courses and not once did he ever give a lecture with a presentation, never had us take notes, he just sits at his desk and hands us work that we haven’t been taught to do. Was going strong in electronics courses til I met Mr Crane. Don’t take his class and say I didn’t warn u"
"Spouse signed up for ESL during the pandemic, paid. Classes went online, nobody could figure out how to make it work. He has a credit on his account for $165. They are unable to apply it to a future course, refund it, and calls are not returned. They just send you from department to department and it is like being in a foreign country when you spend $300 on taxis, and several days of your life, to get "timbres" or "stamps" from all these different places, to cash a $100 check. Really annoying and stupid process. Now the people who work at TCCC are just dolls, and the staff and professors and everyone have been terrific. Some flowcharts and processes need to go into the shredder, from a customer service standpoint, things don't work very well at this place."
"I gave this review a two-star rating simply because the campus is beautiful and the faculty at the Student Accessibility Resource office is amazing! However, this campus is pretty awful. Some of the staff are extremely unprofessional in the way they speak and interact with the students ESPECIALLY IN THE LIBRARY! I recently transferred from the NE campus to the South campus and I regret it wholeheartedly. I needed to rent a Surface laptop from the library, but to rent a laptop for the semester, I needed to fill out the registration form from the desktop in the library. After I asked the librarian if anyone would be able to assist me while filling out the form because I am visually impaired and struggle with using the desktops in the library he told me that I had to walk over to the SAR building to receive help. Filling out this form would not have taken over 10 minutes, but because he heard me say that I was visually impaired he immediately refused to help me. I had to walk over to the office after getting lost for 15 minutes. I had to call the SAR office to call and ask for directions because I am new to the campus and did not know where I was going. When I finally made it into the office after one of the staff came to get me, I had to explain why I was there and try to help them understand why the library refused to help me fill out a form to rent a laptop from the library when I had just left the library. This entire encounter was completely inconvenient and unnecessary and is the reason why I missed my second day of class. To make matters worse when I called the school to ask to speak with the Director of the Library I was told by the Assistant Director that because it was so early during the day the staff are typically really busy and cannot personally help students, which is why the male librarian probably sent me to the disability office. Overall my experience with the staff in the library was terrible. The tone in which they speak to the students is CONDESCENDING, RUDE, and UNPROFESSIONAL! There is no reason why I missed an 85-minute class to resolve a problem that could have been fixed in under 10 minutes."
"I was not able to get registered for classes. I have not had college courses in over 10 years. I needed help getting started, I was not able to get any help. The counselor are a joke. They act like they don't know nothing. This is terrible this made me feel like my decision to go back to school was not good. They are not helpful at all. Was told to register, I did that and have not had a return from no one yet. I got all my transcripts for nothing it seems like. Yall need do better in helping people. I will be looking to go elsewhere."
