"I was in town recently and wanted to find a store that would provide fitting of new running shoes by experts. After reading some reviews of Lone Star Walking & Running, I decided to give it a try. Wayne exceeded all my expectations. It was easy to tell that he had a passion for his product and the sport of running, and was extremely knowledgeable about both. He knew the science of the feet, legs, and hips for runners and how to apply his product line to best suit the individual needs. He asked me about my running, what I ran on (trails), how technical the trails are, if I ever have pain anywhere from running, measured my feet, and then examined my mechanics walking to and from him. After this, he went over what he saw and then brought out several shoes to try. He explained why he selected each shoe, and what it would do for my mechanics. He was never pushing one brand or another. He also had me try certain shoes with added insoles since it would change the dynamics. I eventually settled on a shoe and insole after going through several options. My wife then decided that she could not pass up this opportunity for this type of service from an expert like Wayne.
