"I wish it was possible to give negative stars. My usual vet referred me to Blue Pearl because my cat was severely anemic and needed a blood transfusion right away. She called ahead and set everything up. I got there about 5:30 pm. They were clueless about my car coming in. Then they did another work up after my car had just come from a vet. A few hours later they tell me that they don’t have enough blood on hand but can get some from another vet. At midnight they called and said he was even worse, and instead of then getting blood for him that I needed to come get him and take him to Dallas to another clinic. They said they had called ahead and discussed his case with the Dallas clinic and I was good to go with them. Got to the Dallas Clinic and they had no idea who he was and were too busy with another patient to see him right away. My cat has now been 8 hours without water or a litter pan and Blue Pearl didn’t do anything but stall. Time was if the essence and he is now going to die because instead of being honest and sending me straight to another clinic that actually had blood I wasted 7 hours at Blue Pearl in a kennel."

"Dr. Givens is by far and away the best vet that I have ever brought any of my animals to. I wish he could be our regular vet. I said that it might calm my cat to sing a specific song to him during the exam/specimen collection and he said that the techs might look at him weird but he would do it, and later said it actually did calm my cat! He was so kind to my cat and so unbelievably kind to me. While they were running my cat's labs he let me sit on the floor next to his kennel and keep him (and myself!) calm, and when results were ready, he actually sat on the ground next to me and went over everything in the most gentle voice. I'm left overwhelmed at how excellent he is at treating animals, but moreso at his care for their humans. Our tech was wonderful too; you could tell she really loves animals. The young lady at the front desk was very kind and patient with me when I was so worried for my cat that I had trouble remembering my information and stumbled over my address and phone number. I cannot thank or recommend this hospital enough. 03/06/24 UPDATE my cat had another emergency on Valentines day; when my back was turned he sniffed a lily. Immediately I knew how dangerous it was and called the animal poison control to have the flower positively ID'd. Once they confirmed my suspicions we rushed back to Blue Pearl. My little guy spent 2.5 days in their ICU and every moment he was there he was in the best of hands. I cannot express the depths of my gratitude to everyone involved in his care, and I was overjoyed that Dr. Givens would be caring for him on his first full day there. I cannot stress enough what an exceptional doctor he is. He is the best physician for animals, but his bedside manner for humans is just phenomenal. When I visited my cat, he spent plenty of time with us, sitting on the floor of the quiet room and answering the litany of questions I had. André, one of the techs, was also amazing at getting his IV going, even though my cat put up a good fight. My cat was stressed about being in a strange place where people he didn't know kept poking and prodding him, but they gave him anti-anxiety medicine to calm him, which steadily improved his condition. We're still on the road to recovery, but it is so comforting to have him by my side again, even if he is currently yelling and nipping because he wants something that I won't give him! If you live in this area and your beloved animal companion needs emergent care you would do well to bring them to Blue Pearl. I cannot encourage you enough."

"The techs and vet were very caring. They understood how your dog is family. My Abby was treated for pneumonia with great results. Still on antibiotics but getting better everyday. Thank you Blue Pearl!"

"Dr. Lindsay and her staff were amazing! They literally saved our Frenchie’s life! When his disc ruptured, he lost use of his back legs. He came in for emergency surgery and we were terrified that he would not make it. However, the staff @ Blue Pearl did an extraordinary job and truly gave us a gift that we could never return in full!"

"We recently came to Blue pearl with our very sick Boston terrier. We were only there a little over 24 hours until we euthanized our precious baby but the care up to that point was amazing. Dr Black and Dr Hanson answered many questions and were very patient. However Dr Greenwalt went above and beyond the call of duty. Sitting in our room for what seemed like an hour answering all of our questions and giving her medical and personal opinions when asked. She made the ending special, sitting with us and even holding my daughter’s hand. Her compassion speaks volume for her as a human. I truly hope to never have to come back but if we had an emergency again, we would go here first! Thanks and God bless you all!"
