"i have been a loyal heb pharmacy customer for years now and have never had any issues with them. they are always kind and efficient. their generics are usually cheaper than other pharmacies. also it's nice to be able to check on and make refills for your scripts through the HEB pharmacy app."
"There are never enough people working the counter, so it’s always a long wait, especially since they’ve closed the drive through. Soon there will be thousands of new apartments opening around the corner, so it’s only going to get worse. They used to have free delivery, and now it’s $8 a pop. Plus they insist that you pre-pay on the app, so there’s less actual service in exchange for higher prices."
"i have had so many issues with this pharmacy i don’t even know where to begin! the male tech is extremely rude, they have told me AT THE LEAST 3 different times to come get my medications, so i show up and all the sudden they don’t have them in stock(or apparently never got the prescription in the first place when my doctor is saying she sent it 3X’s already) i’ve had to go days without my medications because of this. Today i spoke with them on the phone and they told me to come get my medication and when I arrived they informed me they didn’t have it in stock. So i had it transferred to a Walgreens close by. When i went to the Walgreens they said HEB never called them to transfer and i’d have to wait because now heb is closed. This keeps happening. i’ve tried to be patient thinking maybe this was an isolated event, but it keeps happening. if you can afford it and live close to any other pharmacy i would use them instead"
"I come to pick up a prescription my doctor sent over yesterday January 13 to have them tell me " The Pharmacist decided to fill my prescription on January 21." Their reason was because I picked up my last prescription on December 29. My Doctor sent it over earlier than normal so I can get it filled before I leave the state. My subscribed doses are between my doctor and me, and only my choice to actually take them. For the Pharmacist, who is essentially a legal drug dealer, to decide I don't need my prescription for another week is beyond absurd and this isn't the first time they tried to delay it. Thank God it isn't a life or death or serious medical problem cause I'd be screwed. I will never have another prescription filled at any HEB Pharmacy."
"The staff at this pharmacy can be pretty rude. You call and are immediately put on hold without anyone speaking to you. Then no one picks the call up. Prescriptions are rarely ready on time. Staff seem over worked and unhappy. This is the general picture at most pharmacies these days though because it's about making the most money while paying the least amount of money and operating with minimal staff. If customers actually knew the rates of mistakes with their prescriptions due to the unsafe pharmacy practices common today, we'd all be scared to take any medication a pharmacy like this handed us."
