Salem Village Apartments

"I’ve been here 2 years, our little apartment is outdated but thankfully no roaches, or other animal problems. Tons of squirrels! Neighbors are respectful for the most part which is a major plus. Two stars because tenants take their dogs to use the restroom in the KIDS playground. When it rains the walk ways ALWAYS get super flooded. The water bill has increased dramatically from $62 to $105. Office management now is super rude and condescending. The maintenance men are GREAT though, they are polite and actually come when needed."

"I relish the kitchen with granite countertops and the cabinet space. The kitchen also comes with an impressive light fixture. I love the carpet in the rooms. The ladies in the office are friendly and act quickly on issues. The two maintenances men are great and always cheerful and pleasant to speak with. Location, Location, Location (that's why the rent is relatively high for this type of apartment complex). My rent increased by $50 after my first year. (Thanks to inflation!) As a single mother with children, I feel safe here. For the past year or so, I have not encountered anything alarming, just those filthy little ROACHES!!! On a negative note: There are two sides to the apartment complex that floods tremendously!!! (The building of 1100 - 1200). Even when there is a small portion of rain, you will walk through high waters. The bugs will not disappear, no matter what I buy or what pest control does. The water smells awful, and the washer/dryer connections are in your master bedroom, making no space for clothes or accessories."

"I’ve been living here almost a year now and love my apartment, just signed a new lease. It’s Spacious and for a reasonable price. The location is great, the community is great & l highly recommend this complex. Family and pet friendly and the ladies in the office are so sweet and friendly! Compared to some other apartments and other rental properties in the area, this place is heaven for me and my kids. Never had an issue with bugs or repairs. Any issues are handled quickly. So happy here ❤️"

"This is a clean and nicely maintained apartment complex. Much more importantly, the property managers are genuinely amazing people who care about their tenants. For that reason, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. While living at Salem Village, we were displaced by Harvey. Lots of our neighbors were in the same position. The property managers took care of us, insisted on making the repairs the right way, and did everything they could to help us--even when they were in the middle of crisis situations as well. The integrity and compassion they displayed was uplifting in a very difficult time. We will forever be grateful. They were fantastic managers before the hurricane too--responding to all of our questions right away, hosting a back to school pool party for the complex's kids, fixing anything that needed fixing, etc. I would not hesitate to live here again."

"I have lived here for almost a year now and I am satisfied with my apartment. When I first loved here I had a few problems with my apartment (a/c, dishwasher, toilet), but the maintenance people have fixed all those peoples I was a bit annoyed when I first moved in though. I was guaranteed there would be no bugs (roaches) in my apartment, and I found 2 of them in my dishwasher within the fist 48 hours I moved in, but the management people were nice about it and I got a bug man to spray my apartment with in a day or two, and I haven't had a bug problem since. The neighborhood is safe, staff is very nice, neighbors are friendly. I would recommend this apartment to anyone."
