"STOP!! READ BEFORE YOU BECOME A TENANT!! I will never have anything to do with Tropicana ever again. You get what you pay for. Not only did I move into an apartment owned by Tropicana but the apartment itself was absolutely disgusting. Had to clean multiple times before moving in. They said that they hire a cleaning crew to clean before I move in (which I doubt). I asked for the cleaners receipt but never got it. The washer that came with the unit was also disgusting. Not only was there filth all inside the washer machine but there was black chunks coming out of the pipes going into the washer. So even if I cleaned it, the second I tried to wash again more of the debris would come out. The fire alarm would go off at all times for no reason. Day and night. I contacted management multiple times for all of my issues which they would send the “handyman” to come address the issues. But guess what? None of the issues were resolved. One night when I got back to the apartment I walked into the bedroom and there were ants all over my California king size bedframe and mattress. I remember them telling me that they have the exterminator come before I moved in (which I also doubt), and when called them about it they asked me if I “ate and left food in the room?” I didn’t even eat in the apartment! Then they said that I would have to call an exterminator and pay for it myself. I would’ve been okay with that if it was my doing of leaving food out, but the ants were coming from little holes in the walls. Oh and not just any walls but the wall that separated me and the neighbor that lived behind me. I was forced to live there due to the terrible contract and when it was time for me to finally leave that nightmare called Tropicana, I personally cleaned that place from top to bottom. I wanted to hire the cleaning crew that they used but of course they never told me who they hired because they never did. I clean the pounds of dust off the ceiling fans since it was probably never cleaned since 1999, when R. L. “Bobby” Bowling IV began working on his first apartment development, to be called “Burgundy Palms.” Dilapidated establishment first opened. I cleaned out and scrubbed all the cabinets, countertops and closets that I used. Swept, Vacuumed, Swept, and Vacuumed again because the place was so dirty that when I first moved in I legitimately vacuumed and swept ten plus times before giving up. No matter how much I tried the place was always filthy since it hasn’t been properly cleaned in years. Mopped the floors three times. Cleaned out the disgusting fridge like I had to do when I first moved in, which I ended up not even using just because how gross it was. I left that place cleaner than it had been in years and you had the nerve to not give me the full amount of my deposit back because I didn’t hire a cleaning company? I hope nothing but the worst for the entire Tropicana Apartments and Homes (which I know the home builders cut the most corners). I would give it ZERO stars but google won’t let me."

"A few days when I went to check out the place some of the walls looked damaged like if people just get selected to be selected. I saw a big pit bull dog living on apartment 61 with some loud young adults smoking mariguana. These type of stuff makes the complex look like vandal area to live around. I would look at the pet policy if I was the leasing manager, young adults like these are trouble most of the time either stealing of doing stuff to other peaples cars. Thanks good luck and I would address the issue as per renters that live there already most than likely are upset just maybe scared of these type of young adults."

"The apartment itself is good, the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. The issue is with the staff. They are constantly changing management. Every new manager at the office never know what they are doing. I was charged over $1000 for breaking the lease when in fact I got someone to take over and the manager at the time Samantha told me everything was in good standing. My mistake was taking her word instead of getting a letter from her saying everything was good to go. Of course when I tried to confront her, she was not working there anymore and there was a new manager. They also tried to charge me cleaning fees when I actually left the apartment spotless. I won that fight because they didn't have pictures or proof that the apartment was left damaged or dirty. Which just shows you they tried getting away with that one to see if I wouldn't say something!"

"!!!!! DO NOT RENT HERE. !!!! HORRIBLE management ( Erika and Stephanie ) both should be fired! I was unaware of fees charged to me when I left back in AUGUST and was sent to a collection agency WITHOUT NOTICE and of course, “nothing can be done” Please stay far away from this place. ZERO STARS."

"My mom lives here currently but she is about to move. When she moved in the rent was kind of pricey, you have to pay all utilities, there’s no pool, there WAS cable (not no more) and they upped the rent price! It is ridiculous! I noticed a lot of people moved out once they removed the free cable. Psh who wouldn’t they put the rent up even if you lived there already and they took off the free cable. Oh and plus they only have one handyman which he is great by the way but they put to much on him I feel like. Oh and also my moms dryer ALWAYS breaks down or makes a very loud noice when it’s being used and they don’t bring her a new one. They just want to repair everything! They’re so cheap when it comes down to the washer and dryer! My moms has literally broke down more than 4-5 times within the first year and a half. She just stopped telling them about it because they don’t care to buy a new one for the apartment."
