"I live in one of the properties and have been without heat for two weeks. Right now my thermostat is reading at 60 and the heat is not working. I have the oven on to warm up the apartment and I know is not safe but what can I do when I am being ignored because the work order was ‘closed’ and eventho I call and let them know it’s not working, they haven’t send anyone anymore to fix the furnace. Tropicana properties expects prompt and timely rent but does not fix whatever breaks down promptly. If us tenants are late on our rent we have to pay late fees right away but here I am two weeks without heat and still calling and waiting and being ignored. Who cares I have a son that’s cold. I feel they don’t care for the tenants well being."

"Supposed to be subsidized living and rent way too high. No amenities in NE properties. No security on premises and management rude. Also no central heating and cooling. Owners in pastdisntmake investment in these properties and just let them go down. I know because I've been an eleven year resident."

"Moved out of this property almost a year ago and am only now hearing that I apparently owe them some money from when I moved out. They didn't even bother to send me a notice about the bill or reach out to me regarding their concerns. I cleaned my apt to where it was completely spotless so that I wouldn't be charged and then I hear i suddenly owe $387!!! They are so shady and are liars! I have photos to prove my place was left perfect. They tried to say I didn't clean my oven when I called tho??? Going to report them to BBB. Please dont trust these people."

"They go out of their way to hurt your credit. After moving out I called to see what I owed. I was told I didn't owe anything and that I would be sent the paperwork. Instead I received a letter from a debt collection company. Zero attempts where made to contact me before sending it to collections. Did some research and apparently there is nothing illegal about that so now I'm just stuck with a collections account on my credit report for the next seven years."
