Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Dallas DFW Airport North/ Irving

"1st night TV wasn’t working lots of static couldn’t see picture and distorted sound. Next morning let desk staff know showed them video and asked for them to send maintenance to fix/ replace as I was working during day but was also booked for another night. Got back to room that evening turned on TV around 7pm and was still not working. Called frond desk to let them know and that I had reported it that morning, front desk person said she would call maintenance to see if they were available and would call back to my room to let me know how best to fix the problem. Didn’t receive a call back so waited about 30 minutes called back and was told she was just getting ready to call me. She informed me the static was due to the wind outside and there was nothing they could do and was fully booked so couldn’t offer another room. I told her I did not believe wind was the cause as the TV was doing the same the night before when there was no wind. She again repeated what maintenance told her and again I said that wasn’t the correct and what poor customer service this was, she then apologized and offer me a free snack I did let her know I didn’t want a snack I wanted a TV in my room that worked. Very poor CS and I would nor recommend this hotel."

"Very clean and up-to-date rooms. Comfortable bed. Great place to stay if you have an early flight to catch. The hotel has a complimentary airport shuttle ( it takes about 10 minutes, running from 4 a.m. till late at night). There is not much available around the hotel, no restaurants or bars. And the hotel itself doesn't offer much besides the lobby area and a big gym. Wifi is strong, good place if you have a few online meetings scheduled."

"My elderly parents missed their flight and had to stay in the area until their new flight the next day. The staff, especially Candice was so incredibly nice and helpful. My parents could not figure out where to meet the shuttle the Kiana(i think her name was) stayed on the phone with us as a 3 way call and gave great directions to my parents. Overall, the staff working 1/10 was top notch. I can't thank them enough for helping my parents."

"Room and facility were really nice. Shuttle van has seen better days. Staff were less than friendly. We booked specifically for the shuttle and free hot breakfast for a layover. Breakfast (complimentary) was 7-10 and when we got there at 730 the coffee was gone and so were most of the hot food options. There were still a lot of cold items left. The shuttle was “blocked” for the time we needed to go to the airport, so we had to Uber back to the airport. Next time I think we would pay a little more for something more reliable. Or just expect to pay out of pocket for breakfast and rides."

"I enjoyed my one night stay here. The complimentary shuttle you must call when you arrive to the airport so they can let the driver know to come pick you up. We had no issues but it was a busy night and we filled up the shuttle and another guy at the A terminal had to wait a longer time for the shuttle to drop us off and go back to get him. For us we waited less than 20 minutes. I liked the gym facilities - it had treadmills, ellipticals, dumbbells, kettle bells, yoga mats, resistance bands and foam rollers. We did not use the pool/hot tub. The room was nice and clean. The hotel provided free delivery with door dash but I heard there is a convenience store with what a burger that was a short walk. No microwave or fridge in ours. Breakfast had a lot of options. We scheduled with the front desk for the shuttle to bring us back to the airport. Overall 5/5 stay."
