"I’m surprised this place has so many bad reviews, we had a great experience with them. My 7 year old had a very traumatic experience with a VCUG at another hospital before coming here, and this experience was much more pleasant for her. The desk staff were very efficient and friendly, and all of the nurses and doctors were very friendly with her too. We were in and out very quickly. I would definitely recommend going here"

"Please be better about billing. I called and talked to them a month before the appointment. They said they would get me an estimate and call back. They never did so I assumed it was covered. We'll the day before they had an appointment reminder and I asked about the estimate. $800!! Then I get there the next morning and they said I'll also have a bill from the radiology read. Well over 1k in total. You need to fall people and let them know. I felt trapped because my daughter really needed this done and I wasn't informed until the last minute."

"My daughter had a VCUG test done here recently and I am so glad we managed to find Plano Pediatric Imaging to do it! Originally her doctor referred us to Children's to complete the test. When I called, they said they did these tests with no anesthesia, nothing to help. It involves sticking a catheter in, filling the bladder with liquid, and taking images while watching it empty. Can you imagine this being anything but traumatic for an 18 month old? Children's said basically I'd have to hold her down the entire time. I was not okay with that. After some back and forth, we were able to get referred here, where the test is done under general anesthesia. What a relief to see healthcare done with empathy and compassion!! Everyone here was fantastic, from the front office in setting up the appointment to the medical staff. Everything was explained to me in detail, they walked me through every step of the way, and it was clear that my daughter was a person to them and not just another chart. I can't say enough about this place. Yes, I got a bit of sticker shock looking at the price, and we'll see when the real bills come, but it was worth it to have the test handled this way. If we need anything else done, we'll be back."

"To Whom It May Concern, I wanted to share how pleased I was with my son’s recent care at Pediatric Imaging of Plano. My son is 15 and has autism. He has had an extremely hard last 6 months with various challenges. First of all the staff was extremely caring and helpful getting his MRI scheduled. It required several phone calls with my doctor and insurance company. The night before the procedure Dr. Ryan Smith called me to learn about my son. He ask lots of questions and wanted as much information about my son as I could share. After learning about my son, he gave me 3 scenarios for the next day.He made me feel good about a plan for the following day. When we arrived at the center, I was asked to fill out some paperwork and my son was agitated. Fear and anxiety were high. Within a few minutes, nurse Jacqueline P called him back. Before she asked him to do anything, she introduced herself and told him that she was his nurse and she was there to take care of him. This immediately put him at ease. After getting in the room, she continued to care and treat him with such care, respect, and love that all of the “normal issues” we sometimes have in medical situations were not there. She got him settled in a bed and offered him a warm blanket. Several times, she reminded him that she was there to take care of him. I also noticed she never touched him without first telling him what she was about to do. Dr. Ryan Smith was absolutely incredible with Levi. He also introduced himself and explained step by step what was about to happen. He treated him with respect and told him up front there would be no surprises, but did need him to agree to the treatment plan. After the procedure, Levi woke up a bit agitated as is normal after having anesthesia, but the staff stayed calm with him, made him as comfortable as possible and never put any pressure on him to do something a certain way. I am forever grateful for this treatment and will recommend this facility and treatment team with high favor! Thanks so much! Noelle Donaldson"

"*Editing review - regarding lack of transparency* I had originally called and asked for self-pay pricing for an infant hip ultrasound, then came into the office and was given a sheet of paper listing a good faith estimate and it matched the pricing I was given on the phone. I was not notified of any other bills I would need to expect. About two weeks later I got a bill from Texas Health (which I expected) then another bill from Texas Radiology Associates, almost doubling the good faith estimate. I called Plano Pediatrics to confirm and they told me that I did owe two separate bills. I asked why I had not been informed of this in their office, especially considering that I was a self-pay patient, and their answer was that I could set up a payment plan. The radiologist was in the same office, but the costs for his services were substantial and not provided to me at the time of service (or beforehand). I would have delayed the procedure or shopped around more beforehand if I had known. Hopefully this review can help other parents in my situation - make sure you ask for the estimate of ALL bills that you will be charged by all providers for a procedure. *Original review which was 5 stars* I had a great experience here, starting with being squeezed in for an appointment ASAP. When I arrived, the staff were so friendly and helpful. I was there with my husband and twin baby boys, and our toddler had to tag along as well. One of the ladies behind the desk brought her a snack and helped entertain her while we were busy with our babies' procedures. We are so thankful for her as well as the other staff members here."
