"We were sent to the ER from the cooks urgent care. I was very unsure of the level of care we’d receive due to my son being a preemie. BUT the ER physician Dr.Gurguis was phenomenal. Completely understood my concerns and throughly went through what the plan was and reassured me that he knew what he was doing. We were ultimately admitted for 6 days. And even the doctors on our floor were amazing. We had different nurses most days but we did have the pleasure of having Jennifer two days in a row. She was so amazing and even came by the day of discharge to say bye to my little one. Amazing bedside manner for my kid and even for me with every nurse. The cafe staff is also so warming and welcoming and the food is actually good and not through the roof expensive either. Hope we never have to return but if we ever do, I’ll feel confident in the care we will receive."
"We had to take my daughter there last night 2/23/24. Every single staff member went above and beyond for my girl. We left another hospital to come here and I’m so glad we did. She was severely dehydrated and they went into action quickly. I was not dismissed like I was at the hospital before and they listened to my concerns and addressed them immediately. The nurse who did my daughter’s IV explained everything that was about to happened and showed her the straw that goes in your arm. They made her as comfortable as possible and even gave my son a popsicle and a plushie and a hot wheels car. I will never take my kids anywhere else but here in emergency situations!"
"We used to go to have my child’s labs done all the time when it was run by Quest and we never had any issues. Now that Cook’s has taken over the lab, it’s a mess. They read the lab orders incorrectly resulting in us being called the next day to come back and have more blood drawn TWICE now! The second time the blood draw had to be done the morning following a 24 hour urine collection. Because they forgot to take a second vial, we have to start the entire test all over again because of the mistakes of the lab employee. I do not trust they know what they are doing and would not recommend!"
"Didn't had any issue regarding wait time or staff. Nurse was very friendly and doctor was good. But they charge way too much for emergency visit. We just had around 30 min visit in the hospital and they charged close to thousand dollars."
"I am new to this hospital, my son was seen in the ER twice this week, both LOVELY experiences. Unfortunately, the second time, he was admitted. The staff in the ER and PICU are literally the pick of the litter. I can’t sing their praises enough. From nurses, to EMT to respiratory therapists to doctors annd even cafeteria food and staff…All phenomenal! I’m impressed. 5 star experience! Whoever did the hiring, Bravo to you!! I want to give a special recognition to nurse Libby in the ER and Dr.Morgan (pediatrician) these two are phenomenal at their jobs and bedside manner, it was refreshing to see!! BUT! Cooks I’m extremely disappointed that you have construction work going on directly above the PICU floor and my 5 month old could not get the rest he needed. Nor could I, as a tired mom who held my baby in my arms for 10 hours in the ER. The sounds are wayyyy too loud they’re startling and sound like they’re right in our room/bathroom. It’s not fair to us to have to hear this banging and drilling. We deserve better. And so do the staff! I recorded a video but unfortunately I cannot attach it. It’s horrendous. One of the nurses did offer my baby noise cancelling headset it helped him take his nap, but after serval hours of being awake due to the noise. Regardless this will be my go-to for my children!! Great job!"
