"First time parents and first major injury. Brought my son here after an ER in Denton turned us away, and Cooks Children Urgent Care said my son’s wound on his forehead was too deep to even touch. My son’s nurses Kylie and Natalie were absolutely amazing and did an amazing job stitching my 4 year olds forehead up. The only complaint would be was after the topical anesthetic was placed we were told that within 30 minutes someone would come in be back to administer to administer the Valium and it was 1.5 hours before they came in. Which 11:30pm my son was asleep so the second set of nurses that came in couldn’t get him awake enough to drink the medicine so it had to go up his nose, which burns. Once Kylie and Natalie came back to suture my son up, he fell back to sleep and they were very patient and answered all of our questions. We can’t thank them enough!!!! Also it’s beautiful inside, very clean and the lady doing paper work in the room with us asked my husband if the bathrooms were up to standard when he came back, which they were. Everyone was very nice and made the process of checking in/making us new patients a breeze!"

"I have called every cooks children's facility in the surrounding area to transfer my medically complicated son to a Cook's Children bc it looks to operate much like what we are used to in Houston with Texas Children's. Low and behold because he is on a Managed Medicaid - Star Kids plan through his disability, none of the providers in the area will accept him even though it states on your website (and on the insurance website) that his plan is accepted. So if we are going to discriminate against disabled patients simply based on their insurance, you might want to remove the information from your website."

The staff, the nurses, the doctors are all amazing and sweet! Compared to the cooks in Fort Worth this one is 100 times better! Every department in this hospital is just so sweet and so helpful!"
