"The new BMG was breath taking. The lobby is one of your wildest dream. So beautiful. I worked a happy hour event and it was elegant yet relaxed. I hope to get invited back."
"Bob help me through the buying process of my 182q repaired my gps antenna and I’d building a panel for it too Now I’m getting my ifr rating Bob knows his stuff about planes. That knowledge is worth me having him do all service to my plane. Safety is key and I trust Bob"
"Despicable business practices that include, in my opinion, outright theft from local pilots. I realize this is a strong statement. To support this claim, the BMG FBO Manager and/or other BMG Aviation/BMG Jet Center staff traveled to other local FBO(s) to abscond with aircraft fuel in 55-gallon drums on the back of a trailer pulled by a truck and then traveled back to BMG Aviation to mark it up and sell it at a substantial profit. This profit was, I allege, as much as $3.00 per gallon on fuel they unethically, and possibly illegally, purchased and transported for their benefit and to the detriment of aviators. While this "arbitrage" may sound "clever" at first glance, let me provide additional background and color. Fuel at a given FBO is offered and provided for aircraft, not to other local FBOs to travel in trucks to purchase and do so without the knowledge or consent of the local FBO. To further this scheme, BMG Aviation went to great lengths to avoid detection, such as arriving between midnight and 4:00 am to purchase fuel and did so until, literally, the tanks at the FBO were DRY. Again, BMG Aviation/BMG Jet Center had traveled in pickup truck(s) and filled 55-gallon drums on a pull-type trailer and repeated this process until ALL the fuel was gone! There was no regard for aviators that clearly need fuel and relied on this FBO for their enroute fuel requirements. The simple fact that BMG Aviation did this well after the time any employees were around and during hours, with little to no aviation traffic is quite telling. There is no reason to have clandestine activities such as these on the part of BMG Aviation/BMG Jet Center unless it is to avoid detection by other FBO(s) and/or law enforcement as BMG was carrying hundreds of gallon of fuel without appropriate equipment and/or licenses to transport this kind of volume of flammable and combustible Many, if not most, smaller FBOs set the fuel at the pumps based on what they paid for the fuel and add to that cost per gallon necessary taxes and/or other costs and administrative charges. They do NOT set the price for fuel based on market prices on a given day. For example, if the FBO purchased 100,000 gallons at $2 per gallon in January and was still selling from that 100,000 gallon purchase, the price at that FBO might seem like a good value for quite a while if the next time they need to purchase fuel the wholesale price goes to $4.00 per gallon, for a whopping 50% increase. (Example only. I do not know wholesale aviation fuel costs). BMG Aviation, in pursuit of profit at any cost to others, denied aviators, aircraft owners, and operators to purchase this fuel for their aircraft. Despicable business practices such as these are more than reason to BOYCOTT BMG AVIATION/BMG JET SERVICES INDEFINITELY. If BMG will steal from pilots and leave tanks empty at aN FBO just to go back to BMG Aviation and markup the fuel another $3.00 per gallon speaks volumes for their character and profit at any cost approach. When people show you who they are, listen, even if it hurts."
"I am 73 and have just started to realize my life long dream of flying. I started lessons with BMG Jet because my brother in law gifted me with an introductory flight lesson. I then purchased a light sport aircraft and Bob Burke, the owner, rented me a space in one of his giant hangars. Two days ago I took my son to show him my plane. I then took him into the other giant hangar to show him some planes there. Upon leaving we passed by Bob Burke talking to two couples. Bob, very loudly shouted at me don't be roaming around my hangar" right in front of my son and the two couples. I was stunned. I thought he didn't recognize me and said "Bob, it't Greg Hess". He responded "I know who you are and you can come in that door (pointing) and out that door, and don't need to be any place else". Being very embarrassed and confused I tried to joke my way out of the situation and said "I guess I didn't see the line". At that point Bob loudly said "You know I can put your plane outside don't you" I had read some scathing reviews and had been told about Bob's behavior but am still in disbelief about this experience.I was both a flying lesson and a hangar space customer. I have to pass through this hanger to get to my plane. I am still dumbfounded by this guy and need to get out of there asap. That is my recommendation to everyone...get out of there asap. This guy is a bully of the highest order. Note: I moved my plane to Cook Aviation the next day. I recently called BMG Jet and asked about some work I need done on my plane. Mary Beth, the receptionist, put me on hold twice while (I presume) consulted with Bob. She finally said she would have to call me back. She never did. BMG Jet is the only aircraft service facility at Monroe County Airport. I have a non-functioning trim switch on the pilot's control stick. This is a safety issue. Although I find it distasteful I need BMG Jet to service my airplane and I appeal for your help in accomplishing that goal. Gregory Hess"
