"I've used College Movers three times now -- two times within Bloomington and the most recent was when I moved out of state. Every time they've been friendly, efficient, and affordable. On the most recent trip, we encountered a huge winter storm. They kept in communication with me throughout the entire week before monitoring the weather and were able to complete it as planned. "WORST moving experience of our lives. If I could give negative stars, I would. I contacted the company, they sent one dismissive email, I responded again, and I never heard from them after that, despite phone calls. Guess they didn't feel like dealing with it, but I like to specify that I did try to reach out the company first directly when I write something like this. First - they charge the MOVING rate (yes, $90/$110/whatever an hour) to TRAVEL to you. Most moving companies charge for travel of course, they charge a travel stipend, which they tell you before hand, they don't charge you the moving rate to drive to you - that's absurd. Don't get taken. We didn't know this; we booked on the phone and they sent the confirmation to the wrong email address so we never received it. If you can't handle phone bookings, don't accept them. We thought we were booking a moving company in Bloomington, which it says, even right here on Google, so to pay the majority of our money for them to drive to AND from our house near Bryan Park was - beyond shocking. When we expressed our confusion to the main mover, he became so hostile we were actually worried and just wanted him out of our house (we know his name, choosing to omit it here). We ordered two movers - the main mover was, as mentioned, aggressive (and we're pretty sure, high) and he was training the second, who seemed terrified. We just needed them to pack the big things well so we could finish it later ourselves. They packed the truck so terribly it was shocking (pics attached). When we said to the main person 'umm - what are you doing? We have things to add later' his response was 'well you didn't tell me that.' As if - not knowing we had more things to pack somehow justified packing the truck terribly? You pack a truck tightly, this isn't just to fit everything, it's also to keep things secure. Do I need to explain this - to a mover? But his hostile/threatening attitude was by far the worst part of all this. Worst moving experience of our lives and a complete waste of money. Avoid. These pics are absurd and the company should be embarrassed. Can't say it loudly enough - avoid. We're not high maintenance folks, and we didn't have a huge move, never did we think this could go so badly."

"Used College Movers this weekend for the second time, and had a great experience. They were super professional and quick. They did arrive a bit late but were super communicative via text about the delay and their ETA--they made up for the delay by completing the move in record time! We were expecting 3 hours and they completed the move in 1:45, which was super impressive given the two heavy couches they had to maneuver through tight doorways! Would use again."
