"They hardly ever answer the phones. When you have a problem with the neighbor they asks you to report it to them a few times to have a record on file. Then they will handle it. My daughters been dealing with an upstairs neighbor that has been making repeated noise at all times of the day and night. Every time she says something about it nothing's ever done. She's even put a note on the neighbor's door. She has also called the police. Police tell her there's nothing that they could do. No one wants to help. It's been quite some time since the review. As you can they did respond. However, it's 2/26/24 and my daughter sent an email at least twice and they have yet to respond back. I was there the other day and all I could hear from the neighbor upstairs was a bunch of banging and stomping. This complex has no intention of responding."
"I visited this location over the weekend, and I had a bad experience. I do not even live here but I was visiting a friend. I parked my car in the front facing lot, but when I returned to my car MY LICENSE PLATE WAS GONE. I sincerely believe it was stolen by another resident or a criminal looking for “unsecured” or unprotected cars. Women living alone in this area should be CAREFUL AND DO NOT STOP IF YOUR PLATE IS GONE. Call police and report. Will not recommend or return."
"There was routine maintenance done at the end of December 2023. At that time one of the maintenance workers asked if there were any issues with my apartment. There was nothing that was not working, however I showed him some concerns that I had. He told me that he would take pictures. I did not see any pictures being taken. When he left, he said that I should be expecting a phone call. It is now February. No phone call of course. Prior to the pandemic the manager at the time Dionte Works advised that she would have my bathroom sink, and tile flooring updated. Once the pandemic hit, only emergency maintenance requests were being taken. I have signed 3 more leases since then and never pressed the issue. She is no longer here, and I am not familiar with the new manager. I have been a resident here since 2005 with zero updates to my unit other than a fresh coat of paint that I had to ask for 2 years. Lighting fixtures and the ceiling fan were also updated at that time. I can say with complete confidence that every appliance has to be well over 20 years old as they were not new when I moved in. This is with the exception of the dishwasher that was only replaced because it was leaking into the apartment below. But that was over 10 years ago. The kitchen cabinets are old, and the appearance of the wood looks cracked. I have been living here for a very long time and have seen many residents come and go leaving apartments in poor condition that have been completely updated, but longtime residents who take care of their apartments are not even offered to have their carpet cleaned when they renew their lease year after year."
"For the price we pay in the location it could be worse however the majority of our spring/summer we had squirrels living in our ceiling which took months to be resolved. The leasing agents are very friendly and they tried to do what they could in their power even with their hands tied from upper management. For Beacon to have so many properties you would expect better response to literal rodents living in the ceiling."
"The Lakes Apartment is disgusting, from the trash that tenants leave everywhere and nobody cleans to the people in the leasing office. So disrespectful and rude. Including the property manager Brandy. If you ever have problems with you rent bill there is no hope. Nobody will answer the phone and even if you happen to get somebody to answer, they will do nothing for you. I’ve been trying to get my rent payment resolved for over a month and I’m being charged an additional $500 in late fees because of poor customer service. Save yourself time and money and try somewhere else. (Franklin River was the best complex I’ve experienced in the area and I am currently trying to go back) I’ve lived here at The Lakes sense 2019 and have never missed a rent payment until last month because of this. Not to mention all the leaks I’ve experienced at The Lakes but here are a few photos I posted last year that disappeared."
