Reviews of Regal Towers
"So I have been allowing myself to experience living in Regal Towers for a few months since my lease started.... I definitely went through (and still currently go through, going into the third month now) a hazing experience. What made me write the review was I walked into my apartment, to the smell of soda. There were soda residue spots at my front door once I walked in. I smelled them, then once I got my shoes and socks off, I felt them. Normally, there's smells of fast food grease in my closet, I don't work fast food, and I've successfully cleaned the walls of my closet a total of 3 times.... 1st was a smell of fast food grease, 2nd was the smell of vomit, and third was a smell that I can't quite remember right at this moment. After my bathroom and kitchen floors were replaced just a day or so after I moved in, the bathroom floor has a smell of a dominating and odor neutralizing fragrance. I smell this same smell around the garbage cans in the back of the building I live in. It seems like at times my personal belongings are accessed, and things occasionally go missing. The utilities are a bit overpriced and there's nothing you can do about it. The electricity is the only thing you can monitor. I personally feel my phone gets hacked when I'm in my apartment sometimes... Security hasn't been help with anything I've gone to them about, the fire department has done their checks, nothings' toxic. Honestly though, smelling your neighbors various fragrances is not the most pleasant thing at times. My unworn clothes change smells from day to day..... For example, from the smell of when I cleaned them, which most times a neutral smell, to various items having multiple smells, and not the same smell the article of clothing item had before it's last wash. Ultimately, you get what you pay for in this market, with that said, I am still choosing to live here until my lease is up, or because of my experience here, I can no longer afford to pay the rent. Really the only two real options someone can have right. I feel like my experience is exclusive to me, so take that with a grain of salt. I personally would smile in your face and tell you this place was a four start complex, and that would mean I really don't like seeing you win at life. There's much more to the experience I'm having so far... I'll update as time goes by. I am an avid reviewer. Update: Jan2024 (move in Sept23). The experience all the way up and to the very end, was as follows… The type of drip from my windows from above, and possibly somehow, from the outside of the window, became apparent at the end. Under my unused stove was a Thread Needle Ball that hit with a powder mildew smell as it was exposed. I was sweeping where the stove was as a final cleanup. It was as if the people upstairs was listening for where I was to either chemically activate the drip that invisibly drenched my apartment, and I consistently was disturbed enough mentally, to spend much more time trying to clean up the attack I felt I was under, then functioning as if I had an apartment that was secure and made to feel “Homely”. The coldest week in January 2024 hit, and that was my “To be off the premises by date”, and again, up and to the very end, it was bad. I’ll update again soon."
"I highly do not recommend moving into this apartment complex. I’ve had issues with roaches twice while living in this apartment complex as well as I had bats near and in the vents of my apartment they were Also in the hallways of the apartment. They are also charging me for the carpet and key fob (keys) stating that the key fob was broken upon returning and the carpet needs to be replaced when there was normal wear and tear and I kept the apartment in great condition. They will find a way to try and charge you for moving out. They aren’t professional and maintenance is subpar. I’ve had black mold growing under the bathroom soap holder and maintenance just told me to spray bleach on it. Even when it came to me having a bat hanging outside of my apartment complex they did not send out any letters to other residents nor addressed the issue and only had maintenance kill it. Also they have problems with their water heaters, before moving out every other week they sent out emails stating we couldn’t use the hot water at certain times. They also charge you for utilities but overcharge you and you can’t put the utilities in your name so it’s just them charging you whatever they feel like. I never paid attention to the reviews before moving in but I highly recommend listening to m and others speak on these situations."
"I don’t understand the bad reviews for this place . I love the security cameras and the gate before you come in, it adds a sense of security and helps me feel safe. I feel like people who have a problem with the cameras have to be doing something sus bc why else would you have a problem with that? The scanner has always worked since I’ve been here the last 2 months. I love my two bedroom! It’s spacious & the kitchen has been renovated with black appliances and a dishwasher along with the rest of the apartment. Plenty of closet/storage space as well. They do have a laundry room on every floor which is one downside if you’re looking for an in unit washer/dryer but at least you get that! Another downside for me is the transactions fees such as one for paying rent on the portal - but you can get past this if you just do a money order which I have done. Those are my only downsides but you get a lot of bang for your buck and rent is a reasonable price considering how high other places charge for the same amenities. I love the convenience store located in the complex as it saves me time from having to actually leave and go to another store . Its overall a great, safe place to stay and the staff up front are very helpful with answering any questions you may have. I would recommend this place as I have dealt w worse landlords. Haven’t had a problem w bugs or roaches since I’ve been here …"
