"The apartment itself is surprisingly large, with nice walk in closets, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about this place. Make sure you look at all the floor plans online, because the apartment you get shown in the tour is much nicer than what you're likely to get. The one I wound up in has no natural light except in the bedrooms, and no overhead lights except in the kitchen and bathrooms, so it's perpetually dark. In the six months that I've lived here, the doors in main entrance have not locked at night basically the entire time. They're only properly functional for at most a week before they break again. It's a running joke that the freight elevator never works, and there's laundry machines that have been broken since I've moved in. They advertise a non-smoking policy, but that is clearly not enforced. Multiple correspondence with the office has done absolutely nothing about the fact that my apartment constantly smells of marijuana, despite nobody in it smoking, and the first floor hall always smells of it too. The electric bill is never less than $200, and they have a "hands off" policy if a roommate refuses to pay-in other words, they will do nothing for the others who are stuck paying for the bill. You're also extremely lucky to get notice if a new roommate is moving in. There's also a very high chance they'll mess up the move in paperwork and send letters requesting an overdue balance that isn't actually owed, and it takes months for them to fix. Since the apartments aren't usually empty, they don't seem to ever get professionally cleaned. When somebody moves out, they have to show a receipt to prove that they hired a carpet cleaning service for their room, and the walls get painted, but that's it. The appliances are so old the grate in the dishwasher is missing chunks that have rusted off. The best part about living here is finding somebody to rent an apartment with somewhere else when our leases are up. Also, they expect everybody to resign the lease in December, regardless of when you moved in. I'm *not* resigning a lease six months before it's up."
"the only good thing about this complex was gary. he was always so kind and sympathetic towards us- when dealing with crazy roommates, and was always very willing to fix anything in a timely matter when needed! if moving here, beware of the parking lot, if your sticker falls off like mine did , you’ll be towed and fined 280$. if you drop your keys down the elevator, it will be around 500$ to pull them out. (thankfully gary got mine out and didn’t have to pay) they will charge you an extra 100$ if rent is a day late (they don’t care about young students) and while living here, make sure your roommates pay their portion of electric, before moving out, our roomate blocked us and left us with a 500$ bill. the complex won’t do anything about it. also heat and electric here are RIDICULOUS. it will be about 400$ a month. oh! and don’t forget they will not return your security deposit! we received a whopping 40$ return from them, out of the near 600. they don’t even send an itemized list of what they have charged you for which is ILLEGAL. our crazy roomate threw hot cheetos and vegetable broth all over the apartment due to having an argument with her boyfriend, and they charged us (from our security deposit) with leaving trash even after informing them before moving out. so glad we are out of here!"
"There’s a reason the rent is cheap here as the place is a dump, only help you will get is from maintenance as they are very quick to respond and help. Management on the other hand is absolutely atrocious, impossible to ever get in contact with anyone at the office as they only care about getting new customers to sign leases and do not CARE ABOUT THEIR CURRENT RESIDENTS. New management year after year and they continue to drop the ball Find somewhere else to live."
"This place has some bad reviews from the past mostly dew to management which I would agree past management was trash. They semi recently got a new property manager (josh) he is absolutely wonderful, actually cares about his residents and job. And definitely has made the place so much better in the short time he was here! I hope he stays long term because I will definitely consider staying longer if he does."
"I enjoy living here and all of the staff that I have met thus far has been very nice. I’ve been living here about two weeks and here are the things that went wrong or things that I do not like. The air conditioner broke(had to be completely replaced) I stopped getting hot water (which made showers uncomfortable and the dishwasher would not work) There are no lights in the bedrooms (The hallways, kitchen, closets, and bathrooms are all very well lit however the living room is not) Half of the light switches turn off outlets They have a ridiculous rule that if you get caught with marijuana on the premises you will be evicted (I highly doubt that they practice this rule) There are no fans in the bathroom (this usually leads to mold but I don’t see any yet, there is rust though) I have no intention of leaving, as I said I enjoy living here however I don’t believe it’s worth what I’m paying"
