"Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay with adjoining rooms. The rooms were spacious, clean with high-end vibes. And the floor to ceiling window view of the city was impressive. Breakfast and staff were wonderful. Location was central to everything downtown. Easy to 5 star this one."
"I was staying with Wayne State University for the Michigan music conference this past weekend and this hotel was all that I could have asked for! The rooms were so clean and the shower felt so nice. The view was amazing. Breakfast tasted actually edible and was enjoyable. The staff was so helpful and nice. I would totally stay here again"
"I'm giving this place a 3 b/c my tv wasn't working and called the front desk and the lady (Danielle) came up smelling like weed (marijuana). I said you smell like weed...crickets...I said you smoke? She said yes. I thanked her for the batteries for the remote and the tv worked. There is NOT a restaurant on premise. It’s more of a heat n serve menu like wings, fries and pizza. There is a free breakfast buffet of powdered eggs, brown n serve sausage, or bacon waffles bagels, cereals. There are restaurants around to go and eat as well. When I mentioned the weed incident to the lady at the front desk in the morning, she had the audacity to say, “ Let me make a note on your room, so you won’t get charged a smoking fee.” What!? Nice hotel, but definitely lacking customer service. So I give it a 3."
"We had a fantastic experience staying at Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown for our wedding weekend. The rooms were super nice, comfortable, and clean. We had a casual rehearsal dinner in one of the event spaces and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Our family and friends took up a lot of the bar all weekend and the staff was extremely helpful, professional, and patient. Elaine was especially accommodating! She answered all of our questions and made sure everything was running smoothly. It was a lovely place to spend our wedding weekend and I know we'll be returning."
"We stayed here for a weekend with a 6 month infant and everything was perfect! Very clean, modern, and spacious room. Nice bar/restaurant with good cocktails and excellent free breakfast. Not to mention our wonderful server Elaine who served us dinner both evenings. Thank you Hyatt Place Grand Rapids/Downtown for a great experience!"
