Residence Inn by Marriott Grand Rapids Downtown 40 Louis Street Northwest, Grand Rapids, MI 49503

"Location, Location! This is right in the center of the downtown action - within a couple blocks of damn near everything. We were able to walk to dinner and several bars from here. There is a parking garage across the street and attached by a walking bridge. The spots were all covered, including the rooftop, which was nice since it snowed overnight. Breakfast area was well stocked and they had a really nice outdoor deck with seating and a grill next to the lobby area. There was an indoor pool which was spacious given the downtown location. Our room was clean and large, had a well appointed kitchen and living area, with a separate bedroom and bath. It was a unique triangle shaped building, and lobby and pool were on second floor, rooms above that. When you walked in from street level there were signs directing you to take elevator to the lobby for check in. Hotel appears that it has been renovated, everything seems quite updated and new. I will be making this my go-to hotel in Grand Rapids, we really enjoyed the location, space, and amenities here."

"My husband & I recently spent the weekend at the Residence Inn by Marriott to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. The staff was friendly, prompt & courteous. It's in a great, centralized location downtown within walking distance to alot of attractions and restaurants. We had a corner King suite with a city view - it was beautiful! The room was extremely spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast had a nice variety of options from cold to hot to choose from and really good coffee. We had a wonderful weekend & will definitely stay there again!"

"This is by far the BEST hotel I've stayed in!!! The staff were so friendly and kind. Our suite had a full kitchen, which I wasn't expecting. The coffee bar in the lobby exceeded my expectations, it was amazing. I don't know if it was because we stayed over the holidays, but the hotel was very quiet. The only "complaint" I have is that the temperature of the pool was very cold."

"Clean room! Spotless. I could not have asked for a nicer room. I stayed in a suite that came with a full kitchen including a large refrigerator/freezer. This place is very secure as well. You can’t access anywhere without a card and outside doors automatically lock at 8pm. There is free breakfast every day, a pool, and a fitness center. Staff is quick and friendly. My only complaint was a small one and not the hotels fault. You are staying directly across the street from a police department. There were sirens often late at night. I still would stay here again though."
