Baymont by Wyndham Grand Rapids Near Downtown

"On Nov 4 2023 I checked into room 213. Found the following upon entering the room: 1. Soiled girls underwear under the sink. 2. A used bong in the sink. 3. A soiled male sock in the bathroom trashcan. 4. 3 empty bottles of alcohol on the balcony. 5. The tv remote was covered with a stick residue & I was unwilling to touch pick it up off the floor to see what the residue was. 6. after killing 8 cockroaches decided I left room 213 & went to the front desk. After informing the front desk attendant about my room she stated there was nothing she could do. I requested to cancel my stay & get my money back so I could go to a clean hotel & was again met with the there is nothing I can do statement. At this point I just checked out & left, not staying the night at this creepy establishment."

"not in the greatest part of town. our room had roaches. we were told we would receive a refund and it would be posted to our account 3-4 days and it has been over a week and it has not been refunded yet. the pool was dirty. the "breakfast" was poor quality as the only thing available for a hot option was coffee. stale cereals and breads. with all this said however the staff was polite.. but due to the cleanliness we would not recommend anyone stay here. update: they did end up refunding us the room but it took longer than the 5-7 days they said it would. it actually took 2 weeks. then on the bank statement the following month for some reason they kept our card information and charged the room again! when I called , they said they refunded it AGAIN and when I asked why the card information was still on file I was told well i guess there was some sort of mistake made.. so who knows how many other people that they have gotten away with taking funds out of their accounts."

"Easily the most mortifying place I’ve ever been. If you’re thinking about getting a room here- DONT!!! I checked in and while going up to my room once I got off the elevator there was a gross smell.. that’s because there was a pile of soiled sheets & blankets of human feces and blood in the hallway on the floor by the vending machine. I finally get into my room and there is vomit on the floor by the bed. Immediately I go to the front desk to get a refund and leave, he states he’s not cleaning it and housekeeping won’t be there until the morning. Disgusting and unbelievable."

"This hotel is disgusting! There's stains all over the room, some look like old blood, some look like seamon. Hot tub wasn't working and looked like a crime scene, pool was freezing cold and filthy. View out the window was of a bunch of trash, the halls smelled so bad I can't even describe it. Night time was super sketchy."

"I’d give this place big FAT ZERO if I could. My husband and I stayed here for 1 night after a concert. My husband went to check in and the lady on the night shift was sitting and talking to some random chick about “how disabled kids don’t deserve to have child support sent to them if their bm and bd are split up.” My husband had to wait about 5 mins for them to actually notice he was standing there waiting! Literally disgusting! I’d like to reach out to the management about this situation. We also had to wait to be let back in because she was once again talking someone about random things I’m sure instead of doing her job! Very rude employees there. Would not ever recommend this place to my worse enemy. The room was disgusting, just a very dirty place to be in. The first thing we seen was there a brownish reddish spot on the room door that ALMOST looked like blood.They took the smoke detector out of the room as well Absolutely disgusted by this environment and employees! DO NOT STAY HERE if you don’t have to."
