"My mother as well as my sister reside here together. I cannot tell you how professional, caring, loving and very passionate everybody is that works here at Pinecrest. Everybody looks out for one another, and aside from the havoc that Covid caused....they have taken every precaution necessary to keep the residents safe and covid free. I can't say enough about Heather, Leslie, Arlene, Georgette, and Natalie in the kitchen kicking butt to make sure everybody is fed a delicious dish. There are always activities to partake in, games, outtings, etc. Maybe not alot in the winter, but come spring and summer it definately picks up as far as outtings go. My mom and sister have been here for 6 years now, and have nothing but great things to say about living here. Touche' to the staff and the aides that make it happen!!! God bless you ALL!! Much love, Ellen"
"My mom lived at Pinecrest for just over a year. She had to have her apartment sprayed twice for bed bugs, she didn't have them in her apartment down state. My mom fell and broke her hip Christmas day, she ended up passing away. I tried donating her hospital bed, bedside commode, shower chair, dishes and silverware but the manager Heather Charbonneau said NO. I thought that some of the residents could have benefited from the donations but apparently she doesn't care if her residents need things to help make their life easier. The staff that McLaren provides are very caring and nice even though they are short staffed. My mom loved the aides that took care of her and they've told me they felt the same about her. The meals they serve leave little to be desired. Sometimes they looked good other times they serve sandwiches for dinner. I heard other people in the dining room ask "what the hell is this" when their dinner was brought to them. The dining room staff are very nice as well. Their website says they have a pool & hot tub they shut that down. When I was there cleaning out my moms apartment I heard they were going to charge me for a cleaning fee because I left things to be donated behind so I cleared everything out. Heather didn't even have the common decency to give her condolences for the loss of my mom. The only reason my mom lived there is because it's what she could afford without getting assistance from the state. I had a meeting with Katherine Munn Scinicropi one of the higher ups at Pinecrest along with Nick and Laura with McLaren Homecare and Hospice because I had concerns about the lack of staff on hand for the medical services I was told that there weren't enough extra charges coming in to warrant extra staff. When my mom moved in there were 2 aides for each floor during the day and 1 per floor at night now there is 1 aide per floor during the day plus some support staff and only 1 aide for both floors at night. I voiced my concerns about what would happen if god forbid there were a fire and I was told by Katherine that "it's an independent living facility and everyone should be able to get themselves out". I would not recommend this place"
"This is a wonderful facility. I have lived here 4 and one half years. The food is great and the care is super. I am very thankful that my LORD directed my family and friends to find this great facility. I have been through several medical needs and have had wonderful care. The staff is very helpful and supportive. Pinecrest is truly my home."
"What a wonderful facility that doesn't feel like a motel or nursing home. Great staff that is always willing to help and plenty of activities for the residents. I want to live there!"
"I have lived here for about 5 years my husband and I both live here.we recomend it if you need loving care. Gloria"
