Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront

"We booked a room at Crown Choice Inn & Suites for the water park for the kids. Upon arriving we noticed we had to check in at the Hamilton Inn Select Beachfront. We found out the water park is only open on weekends. When we booked our room it said the price included passes to the water park. Nowhere did it say it wasn’t open. Front desk manager claimed they sent us an email. After getting our key cards we drove back to the other hotel and pack muled all our stuff up the stairs to the second floor. Upon arriving at our room our keys didn’t work. My wife drove back to the other hotel to get new keys and when she got back they still didn’t work. Pack mule everything back to the car and drove back to the Hamilton. My wife asked for a refund at this point as we were both rather irritated. We were told they wouldn’t refund us our money but would put us up in the nicest room they had for no additional charge. We agreed to that. It was on the fourth floor of the Hamilton and to get to it you have to take an elevator to the third floor and take the stairs the rest of the way. If this was their nicest room, I’d hate to see their worst room. While it looked clean from a distance, upon closer looking the fake marble panels of the shower had such big gaps that weren’t sealed there was most likely mold growing behind them. The floor was nasty. There was orange stains on the shower curtain. The toilet was broke and ran water out of the top of it when you flushed it. Breakfast consisted of frozen pancakes and discolored ham. We booked through Travelocity."

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The lady’s at the front desk were super sweet and helpful. They made sure we had all we needed and were comfortable. The hotel its self was very clean and well kept. Definitely planning another trip in the books here soon!!"

"Very large property. Stuck in a snow storm and they had a vacancy. Matched the prices I found online. Pool is open late. Lakeside view was lovely. Flow of the room was "off". Lamps were loose. Breakfast was only 7-9 on a Sunday. Delicious ham but no eggs. OJ only juice option I saw."

"Affordable winter stop, beautiful view of frozen lake. Rooms are clean and well kept, no maintenance issues. Breakfast lacked any protein except ham. Clerk said it was due to "covid egg shortage" lol. But the pancakes were decent, and there is a waffle maker. Also saw a pair of eagles flying over the lake!"

"Feefee ( I Believe that’s what she said her name was) Was the sweetest. Outstanding service. She was there when we checked in at night and back there in the morning still smiling. The hotel walking distance of eat and drink. There is a hot tub, It was open, but the Jets were not working when we were there and a really nice pool. The rooms were spacious and clean. There is a refrigerator and.. Free breakfast, you get what you pay for. Ham, Cold pancakes, A waffle maker, bagels, coffee, and juice. You know the usual free breakfast. Prices were very affordable."
