"My husband and I stayed here in July for a delayed honeymoon (thanks, COVID-19!). We absolutely loved it! The breakfasts, snacks, and desserts were all equally delicious and prepared by the kindest and most courteous staff. Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning, small fridge, and balcony were all in perfect working condition, too. The bed was comfortable as well. The Brigadoon is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants and ferry rides to Mackinac Island. The parking lot is small, but that’s because it’s bound by the property. If parking becomes an issue, which we never experienced, the staff is quick to provide multiple solutions. Althea, Marcia, and Romaine - you each made our stay pleasant, safe, and comfortable. We truly felt “at home” because of your attention to detail and thoughtfulness. We can’t wait to return fall 2024!"
"Love this place, seemed very old but the rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Free breakfast and dessert in the evening. Holly at the front desk is very friendly and helpful, the people in the kitchen are very friendly. I enjoyed my visit and felt very relaxed. It is walking distance to the street with all the shops and food. About 10 minute walk to the light house and the old fort. You can access the beach and go swimming. Safe to walk to the beach at night and see the lights on the bridge. Beautiful sunsets under the bridge view. Free wifi, nice."
"My wife and I stayed here for one night on our honeymoon. It was a last-minute reservation. Our experience here was amazing!! Definitely one of our favorite parts of the trip. Everyone we talked to was polite and professional. The lady at the desk showed us to our room and offered to carry our bags in for us. The desert and breakfast were great! It was a very enjoyable stay for us to be sure."
"Delightful all around! We stayed in two different rooms on either side of a trip to Mackinac Island, and both were lovely, clean, and comfortable. It's an old building but they've managed it well, and I will never again underestimate the joy of a jacuzzi after a long day of sightseeing! The food was excellent (seconds at breakfast if you ask for it...) It helps that we had perfect weather, but one of the highlights was sitting on the front porch for a bit one morning and enjoying the view and the pretty gardens. Super convenient for Shepler's Ferry, too, and the Brigadoon let us leave the car for the days we were on the Island."
