Vindel Motel

"Marc was very enthusiastic and very welcoming. I could see his personal interest in guests. He actually created a very nice itinerary and I tell you - we would have missed a lot. Do consider talking to him if you are new to the area. He told me that his wife takes care of cleaning of the rooms. Who does that these days and how can there be anything better than that? I generally go for branded hotels, but this time it was a good decision to to go with this unbranded one."

"Lovely little motel run by a very sweet couple. As someone who is hesitant to motels because of safety concerns, the Vandel Motel may have changed my outlook. This motel is quaint and very clean, and I felt very safe here the entire stay. The bathroom was recently updated and VERY clean. We will definitely be staying here again!"

"We stayed here to attend the Mack Bridge Run on Labor Day. This motel is exactly what I was looking for. Close to the rec center to pick up my race shirt, bib and bridge shuttle (walking distance). This was also walking distance to the downtown strip (although we drove). Our room was clean and comfortable and the fridge in the room was huge. We were VERY happy with the location, the room, the pool, everything. I would definitely stay here again. There were other motels nearby, but I'm confident that we picked the right one :-)"

"Great customer service and conveniently located on the main strip where there are stores, restaurants and the ferries for Mackinaw Island! It's all walking distance from this motel. Their rates are more affordable than the ones closer to the water. This would be the perfect spot if it's just 1-2 people, as the rooms are small (one queen bed only.) They even have a small pool outside, with a few nice lounge chairs and tables. They have their own parking in front of the motel rooms. Everyone we encountered was friendly. We felt safe in the area it's in. The room and towels were clean. Our room had a mini fridge & microwave. Even a few clothing hangers and a drawer. It also had a T.V. and plenty of lighting for the room. My boyfriend and I will definitely be booking the Vindel Motel again."

"After having a series of unfortunate events we had to stay in the city longer the planned. The tow guy recommended this place and we are so thankful we made it here! The rooms are very cute and homey. Everything is super clean and a very nice pool! The best part is the lady checking us in was very polite and had a very warming personality! She made our sticky situation just a little bit better! Walking distance is perfect if you’re looking to travel by foot! By far the best motel I’ve ever stayed at!"
