The Goodrich

"Hello goodrich, I am disappointed to see two $100 charges on my account even though both instances had been discussed with The Goodrich before. I emailed the goodrich months ago complaining that someone from the goodrich barged into my room while my girlfriend was sleeping ( did not knock just came right in at 8am) and took off my closet doors and then replaced them with damaged doors that did not function properly. I asked that this be recorded on my account so this exact thing did not happen. I was tired of the one door not working so I moved it to the back of the closest. So quick was the goodrich to blame me! Who wouldve thought? For the other case, I texted a goodrich employee very early January if the new tenant wanted to keep the tint and she never responded to me after she had said that the tenant would probably prefer the tinted windows. So that is $100 down the drain due to a lack of communication on her part. I am just so sick to my stomach right now. I am a college student at Akron. I have two full time jobs and go to class full time. I communicated very well with all of you and I have never ever had my expectations met while living at your complex. You have failed me over and over. You are housing someone who assaulted me while claim to have a strict “no criminal” policy. Do you even recall my move in? I was told I could move in June 1st. Just kidding. Push it back a day. All my appliances? Still wrapped. I had to clean the wood shavings out of all of my cabinets. There were loose screws in my garbage disposal. Im surprised you didnt charged me for the scuff marks above the shower! Looks horrible! Oh wait, I know why they didnt! It’s because the maintenance team remembered how awful they left it before I moved in! Amy knows I am not stretching the truth. It has been awful at the Goodrich. Imagine being treated so poorly then you get assaulted and your landlord is trying to milk some more money out of the situation. You need at admit that the $100 charge on the closet. Was a mistake. I can find the email chain if you want to argue with me. You need to admit that I was proactive about removing the tint and I asked Lori about. Due to her not continuing communicating with me it has costs me $100. I know you have cushy jobs and $100 is nothing so why bother worrying about that. Well you know what. Do you know how long I have to wash dishes to make what you stole from me. It is stolen. It was wrongly taken, no? It was your job to make sure that this went smoothly."

"Lived there for 9 months, left for another state. Fantastic establishment, it being a multi use complex means you’ve got easy access to food/beverage/nighttime entertainment with the two adjacent y bars. Also the businesses in the complex make Akron downtown feel populated during weekdays which is relieving considering how barren it can be. The Goodrich also occasionally organizes events for its residents like local food trucks and socials. The apartment itself is extremely nice and as modern as it gets. Never had any maintenance issues during my time there. The personnel who run the place, namely, Amy and Ozzie are trying to have around and work with. I’d highly recommend the Goodrich to any yuppie moving to Akron."

"We just moved into The Goodrich about 2 months ago and absolutely love it here! Our apartment is perfect and we have no complaints with it! Everything works perfectly and in great condition! You can't neighbors, it's very quiet! Best part is that the amenities that are in the building! The gym is amazing!! There are multiple patios! Multiple Game rooms with different things such as basketball, ping pong table, and board games! There is a movie theatre room that feels like you are in the movie theatre but at the comfort of your home! Also, if you don't feel like cooking, no worries! Just head right over to the Breweries that are right in our back parking lot! OR take a scooter ride downtown and go to your favorite local Mexican place at El Patron! 11/10 recommend this place!! I never had a home that is this fun! We always have something to do!"

"Overall not a great experience. The service and quality of this complex is nowhere near adequate for $1400/month for a 1bdrm. Many of the listed amenities were nowhere near ready when I moved in. The windows do not open- you’ll spend a fortune in heating and cooling. Work orders took months to complete- there’s only one maintenance man for the entire complex. Several work orders were never addressed at all. The overall quality of workmanship within the units is poor- lots of spots unfinished or rushed. The parking lot is free to all however the complex charges you $35/month to park and you aren’t provided a reserved resident section. The lot is next to two breweries and fills up very quickly! I was also charged hundreds of dollars for damaging the floors that were brittle and cracking throughout the complex. The gym and location being close to hospitals and the bike path are really the only pros to living here but are nowhere near worth the cost. You can find a much higher quality apartment in Cleveland or surrounding area for a comparable price."
