"EDIT: The hotel reached out to me and helped with this issue. Updating my rating to reflect that. Stayed with my wife and 4 kids, this was one of only a few places that didn't try to put us in two rooms and was the cheapest. Check in was great, gentleman working the front desk on check in was great and he was still there next morning as well. Lady making breakfast both mornings was awesome. Room smelled clean and seemed nice when we checked in. Dishwasher and microwave and fridge were all clean. Bathroom had some hair on the shower curtain but otherwise clean. Now I don't know how hotels work but I booked the room 3 days in advance and picked my room using the app about 5 hours before check in. They knew there would be six of us. We got checked in, and immediately went to the pool. First off Hot tub was down for maintenance which was not mentioned during booking or check in. The pool was under maintenance as well but it was working upon check in. Not sure why that wasn't mentioned during booking. There were no towels in the pool room and only a handful of small towels in workout room. I had to walk soaking wet out to the front desk to get towels. I also had to get towels for the room since there was enough to only 2 people, not a family of 6. I had to go back down again and asked for bedding for sleeper sofa, again we booked for 6 people. After the pool we got dinner and settled in. Next morning we had an outing and once we got back I started noticing issues. I'll save some time and just list the issues I found. 1. No towels in pool. 2. Hot tub down. 3. Used shower cap and hair tie under edge of bed. 4. Toilet paper or wipes of some kind in corner of room. 5. Outlet in kitchen was half unscrewed. 6. Really bad job trying to patch a drywall issue. 7. Trim piece missing and staples sticking out under bathroom sink. 8. Coffee pot didn't work. 9. Ceiling fan worked but light didn't. 10. Burn in of some kind on tv screen in bedroom. 11. AC unit in bedroom was falling apart but operational. 12. Lady at front desk seemed bothered I asked about staying another night and at checkout. Minor inconveniences were a table that only sat 2 people. For a suit that sleeps up to 6 but easily 4 I'd have thought the table would have been bigger. The thermostat screen in one room was messed up but usable and on checkout day the buttons for the elevator didn't work on our floor. I had to walk down 3 floors to bring the elevator up. These last issues weren't big deal but should be noted if travelling with more than 2 people. I expect these issues at a comfort inn or Redroof or other discount motel. I did not expect these issues at a Hilton property. I would try the Homewood Suites again, I hope this was a one time issue. Of course when I contacted staff they apologized and that is as far as it went."

"The room was great! But there was constant barking on both sides of our room, kids running the hallways at 1am with constant screaming and yelling, pot smoking and the smell was strong enough to get you buzzing!!! Went to breakfast the next morning and the kitchen staff was having her own party with the loud music. Wonderful front desk staff but I won’t be back. Couldn’t get any sleep with the loud noise all night. Staff tried to help but she’s obviously the only person working. Very frustrating to hear that the hot tub wasn’t working properly and that I had to fight with the door handle to get in! This hotel needs maintenance repairs and better staff in the kitchen."

"Wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you want a quiet stay or you’re looking to use the amenities. We only stayed one night, the room itself was fine. Our kids wanted to swim and we were excited about the hot tub but it was out of service during our stay. The pool was dirty when we arrived, which they cleaned after we talked to the front desk, but the following morning was entirely closed. Lots of rowdy guests roaming the hallways at all hours. Breakfast was ok."

"My experience at this hotel was utterly appalling. The staff's unprofessional and rude demeanor was matched only by the deplorable state of the rooms. To add insult to injury, my room lacked hot water, and the sheer incompetence of the female at the front desk ensured that the issue remained unresolved. Spending $700 on this establishment was an outrageous waste, as the hotel's value doesn't even come close to justifying a seven-dollar price tag. I expect immediate attention to these concerns to salvage any semblance of guest satisfaction."

"We booked and checked into three king suites and 1 double queen suite for 2 nights while in-town for a funeral. Our television did not work in our room. After the front desk verified the problem, we still were left with no source of streaming or local channels to watch for the duration of our stay. The distance from the elevator to our rooms included three turns and a long walk to the furthest end of the hallway, which was the entire fourth floor. This was made difficult because we had to carry our luggage without the assistance of a cart because there were only two for the entire hotel, which were always in use by other guests or not returned to the lobby. The furniture, bedding, and lights could stand to be updated. Housekeeping overlooked cleaning of the bathroom floors, which were covered in hair from previous guests in all rooms, and there were no working exhaust fans in bathrooms. There were obvious signs of wear and tear on the furniture, and the lighting was too dim. However, despite the quality of these issues mentioned, we had a good night's rest on our feather-free pillows and surprisingly enjoyed the better than average breakfast! Our favorite feature was the dining room and hostess of the breakfast kitchen. She never let the food and drinks run out and made every guest feel welcomed and appreciated for choosing to stay there! Finally, this was a sufficient stay that could have been better with greater attention to detail."
