Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downtown

"My family and I had a brief overnight stay at this location a couple of days ago. Overall, the experience was good, and it met our needs. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Some feedback/observations: The elevator floors were a little dingy, and could've used some attention. I believe this hotel receives heavy foot traffic due to business/corporate stays, and it felt like cleaning the heavy traffic areas would be beneficial. Also, while the location is safe and quiet; you won't be amazed by the view out your window. Our room back up directly to a major/road highway and an old industrial building. This, obviously, did not impact our stay, but it is something to keep in mind should you be traveling for leisure. Lastly, the pool heater went out earlier that day. My daughter was devastated, but the staff did inform of us of other swimming options in the area (so that was nice). Overall, this hotel is great if you are visiting for business or a quick trip where you won't be staying at the hotel much. Definitely a nice and safe place to rest your head for the night, and I would stay here again due to its proximity to downtown Akron."

"Came from out of town to stay for a few days in Ohio...the location was perfect for me and what I needed to do. It was parking every night where I didn't have to pay. I was solo on this trip and I felt safe in this location as well. The front desk was nice, easy check in/out, and helpful!"

"We stayed the for the first time while dropping our daughter of at college and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect and the staff outstanding. Front desk employees were friendly and helpful Chef and Rhonda at the cafe in the morning were extremely friendly and accommodating. We then had to return a month later due to a medical emergency and once again fantastic crew that helped us in all ways possible. Chef remembered us and once again made us feel right at home. We look forward to seeing him on each of our visits."

"Nice clean room, have had housekeeping every day which I appreciate. Television would not turn on when I first arrived but no problems after I reported the issue to the front desk. The best thing about this hotel is the Speakeasy that is located in the hotel. Just go to the red phone booth and lift the receiver."

"This is a nice hotel for staying close to downtown Akron. I would not quite call it downtown but it is very close. The views are nice from many of the rooms but some are not so much of you are on a lower floor. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. The parking is s big issue though, there simply isn't any close by. Also, having to pay for breakfast for what you're already paying for the rooms is just exorbitant in my opinion. Overall a decent place to stay but the value for the price you pay is doesn't match up in my opinion."
