Hillwood Pointe Apartments 12021 McCormick Road, Jacksonville, FL 32225

"We moved in last year in March and we regret not doing our research on this place. First off the day we were supposed to move in the lady who took our deposit was no longer working there. We moved in without any issues and thought we made a good decision. 1 month in and our dishwasher was leaking water. It took them about a month to come fix it. The dishwasher couldn’t be fixed so they removed it and we never got a new dishwasher as promised. Next our upstairs bathroom ceiling started to crack and the exhaust fan was falling from the ceiling. No one came to fix it. You put in a maintenance order and it takes 30 yrs for a response! Next our ceiling in the living room started leaking and it wasn’t just one spot it was multiple spots. We had pots all over the floor to catch the water. It took them another 30 yrs to finally get a plumber to come in and fix the problem. Let’s not forget the shootings and fights on the daily! Management doesn’t care about the property, residents, or roaches that live out there she just wants your money. We never received a notice to renew our lease(never was going to anyway) and when we went to drop off our keys this wide back, coke bottle glasses wearing, bird nest wig wearing heffa tells us we didn’t give no notice to move so we will be charged 2 months worth of rent!!! Like really…so they failed to give us a notice to renew our lease or not and we have to pay a penalty because of their lack of doing their job!?? So please avoid this place at all cost not worth the money and your peace of mind."

"Stay as far away from these apartments as you possibly can!!! Out of any apartment that I have stayed these by far have been the worse. For one, they cannot keep a steady property manager in that office, and when they finally did get one she was the worse, she has a terrible attitude and the way that she speaks to those residents is ridiculous. They do not fix things as they should, for as much money is being paid by each resident out there, there should not be any problems. I knew something was wrong when I first moved there and there were multiple people moving out, from the time I stayed there, that is all that I saw monthly were Uhaul trucks from people just moving out. They had more people moving out than in which is a bad sign. If you can, just avoid these apartments. There are houses that are cheaper than what they are asking for these apartments, which is what I decided to do. And I forgot to mention the drama that is out there, there were two shootings by the playground while there and there is no security. People will do what they want but if you can just avoid them."

"I honestly give this place -4, from the years I’ve been here and for every new manager you’ve hired and fired. I’ve been here since 2019. Everything is old fashion and it’s just not worth what you are paying for. Even though they upgraded some apartments…1599 isn’t worth it. They ran all of the black people and continue to do so. There are always new mangers like every three months Since the Nicole left. Yeah we had one manger and yeah she clean it up. She was awesome we had housing contest for the holidays. She was wonderful. After the holidays she was gone. Then we had another lady she was great as well then she just quit. There is just a few black people here. Either they was forced out or either they left. The police is always out here. These kids are bad as hell. I don’t have my children out here and never did. When time to pay the rent mangers aren’t there. They are so quick to try to evict “certain tenants”. I don’t know about this manager but let see how long he will last. Just to update we left HILLWOOD pointe apartment and so have everyone on my strip. And the housing manger he left a few days after I wrote this post. They try to hire a few more people but they left as well. We left in September and moved into. Beautiful house which is worth every penny. Uploading some of the pictures after I left. In the comments whoever is over Hillwood Pointe they keep saying that we hold our mangers to the highest but yet they are always leaving and quitting before a week or two. Sad. They can’t never keep a good property manager. That says lot about the company."

"The people who work here are absolutely HORRENDOUS. They do NOT care if you have children or if you're struggling financially. They originally told me I was set to move in this week and then later told me they never ran my credit and I'd have to pay a deposit fee and first months rent. My family and I are now in a hotel and are out about or more than $2100 because of all the payments we made to them, just to never move in!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE. YOU ARE JUST A BAG OF CASH TO THEM!!!"

"DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I spoked with a lady and took a tour I like the place I did my application. When Monday comes I went up there the lady said I got approved and all I had to do was put 500$ deposit down and I can move in Friday. I didn’t get paid into 2 weeks later so I put the 500$ deposit and went to go move in on the 29th. That following week I’m trying get a hold of them no answer. I call again later that day nothing. Called Tuesday and Wednesday… nothing again. NO ANSWER! Finally I get a hold of someone after calling multiple times! A new lady told me the person I was working with is no longer working there and she the new Manager. She told me they never ran my credit. How do you tell someone they are approved and not run a credit! She said she get back with me later that day NOTHING!!Thursday comes I call nothing again all day finally she picks up and tells me I have to put $1600 deposit with first Month rent and I was all set and ready to move in Friday. I told her ok I will come Friday to give you the money order and to pick up the keys. I told her my Fiancé will drop off the money order on his lunch break and will be there at 11:30 to please be there and she even said okay. Minds you my fiancé works 20 mins away . He gets there she not even there !! NO ANSWER ! Around 4pm She finally calls me talking about that I have a light bill from YEARS AGO!! that I have to pay before I move in. WHAT?!!! YOU KEEP TELLING ME SOMETHING DIFFERENT EVERYDAY!! I’m legit giving you $1600 deposit because of my credit and that’s not Enough!! YOU TOLD ME I WAS GOOD TO MOVE IN FRIDAY! And then FRIDAY COMES NOW I CANT MOVE IN!!! Mind you now I’m homeless I packed all my things now IM LIVING AT A HOTEL! I Have no where to go. DO NOT MOVE HERE! YOU NEVER GET A HOLD OF THEM AND SHE NEVER THERE! NOT TRUE TO HER WORD!! I HAD TO HARASS THEM EVERYDAY TO GIVE ME MY MONEY ORDER BACK IT TOOK THEM A WEEK TO GIVE IT TO ME!! THEY NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE OR WAS NOT EVEN THERE"
