Riviera Park Apartments

"We have just moved in and was very misled. The apartment is paper thin you can hear everything in other people apartments. There is no dishwashers or washer and dryers in the unit. Small kitchen area… definitely meant for a bachelor lifestyle. There is a pool and a pavilion and obviously the board walk. There is also an on site laundry. Which we have yet to find. I suggest doing an actual walk through of whatever you’re looking at getting prior to committing. And make sure they do maintenance PRIOR to you moving in. We were also mislead that they could leave the keys in the apartment for us since we moved from out of state… to which was told day of we needed to be in office prior to 5pm but Carla would stay till 5:30p… we moved from out of state that day and gave us NO time. Not military friendly. We are stuck here a year but definitely do not intend on staying longer."

"With the upcoming storm I feel it's important to be very detailed about how badly this neighborhood floods. When it rains hard the parking lot will flood, not damaged cars flood but close. We were here during Irma, almost every first floor apartment flooded, I believe the only ones who were okay were in the front of the neighborhood on St John's. One of the buildings on the water actually had to have part of it demolished because it was so badly damaged. The apartments on the end of buildings L & M were completely destroyed because the walls were beaten down by the waves from the river. I can't say for sure but there may have been three buildings that didn't have the first floor apartments get at least several inches of water. The one good thing is that you are on the electric grid for the hospital so we did get power back the same night that Irma hit. I took a couple of videos, and they got picked up by The Weather Channel and multiple local and national news channels, so that tells you how bad the storm was there. I'll try to attach what I still have to this review."
