"My husband, 2 children and myself rented a home from Lauren Meadows in Port Charlotte. We rented for 1 year and were never late on rent. We also had to clean the property prior to moving in because they couldn't get a cleaning company there prior to the 1st. We also were asked to switch the water and electric bill to our name a few days early as well, as the owner requested we do so. We agreed to everything because we loved the location and the home so much. A few months after we moved in, the AC stopped working on a Sunday. I opened a maintenance ticket on the web portal as directed. Lauren then called me and said it was not an emergency and to "open a window" she also said "I am not going to charge the home owner a weekend AC repair fee when it's nice outside". She claimed to know the owner and be friends with him. We explained we opened the ticket to make them aware of the issue. She then went on trying to accuse us for the AC not working and began to question the Temperature we had the home set on..... moving on to the end, we purchased a home and made the agreement to move out 1 month early, use our last month's rent for August (which was applied by their office) she did the walk through inspection and took the keys and garage door opener stating everything looked great! They also switched the power and water out of our names as well.....a few weeks later we were contacted by Lauren and she explained that we never pd our last month's rent and we needed to pay it. I reminded her of everything that was agreed upon and she said they used the last month rent in error and they have had a hard time renting out the home so they need us to pay the rent so the owner does not find out.... not our problem!!! She went on to explain that alot of people have applied to rent the home, but they either have bad credit, or their pets were not allowed due to breed, size, ext. .. again not our problem! We are owed or deposit, which she refuses to give back to us because they haven't found new tenants yet.... more then 30 days later!!! We are taking the necessary legal action because this can't keep happening to other people like I have been reading on here regarding this company, and Lauren Meadows."

"Amee has been great with everything! Move in was super simple. Edit:9/19/21 I’ve been living at one of their units going on a year. Everything was fine, paid rent on time, no issues. Until a week ago when my a/c went out. Called emergency line and didn’t get a call back for 3 hours because the owner was out to dinner. So, I call the next day to see if we can fix it. The prop mgr/owner begins to lecture me about Florida law, and that they don’t have to provide a/c. Except it’s on my lease, a binding contract. So then she tries to blame me for the damage before anyone has even come out. Two days go by, finally they randomly call me at work so someone can look at my a/c. I have to leave work and meet the tech. Days go by, they call for another estimate, again call me randomly to leave work to meet the tech. A week has now gone by with no call and still no a/c. Lauren Meadows the owner is not the nicest person, I signed a new lease right before this happened. So, I guess this next year will be kind of a drag. Take my advice look elsewhere if you can. Edit:10/1 ERA owner convinced the home owner I’m renting from that I can’t live here anymore due to me being mean to the A/C tech. This is what she called me yesterday afternoon. Which is a blatant lie. I had signed a new lease already. Now I have a month to find a new place and move. This is all due to them repairing an A/C unit. I find this whole ordeal overwhelming. Don’t fall for the phony 5 star reviews."

"We have used Lauren and her staff for the past five years to help us rent and manage our condo on the Island of Venice. Not only are they friendly, but extremely knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the sometimes "sticky" rules,. regulations, tax liabilities and such of condo management.
