"Stayed here last summer and the unimaginable happened. Our first night there, just after 1am I hear a door open and noises coming from the living room. I jump out of bed and run out of the bedroom to see the front door wide open and a man and woman shining lights and looking into the apt. Thank God I had the foresight to have my son move a large recliner in front of the door when I realized they open outwards and have no chain or way to secure it from inside, before we went to bed. The woman asked me if I was staying there and became belligerent stating that her aunt and uncle owned the place! Obviously she had her own key because no one is available for check-ins after 3pm. Finally she huffed and said it would have to be worked out in the morning and they left. Of course I didn't sleep much the rest of the night and then of all the audacity, the office manager calls me at 9 and, very apologetically, tells me that there was a scheduling mistake and that I have to pack up and be out of the room by 10am! I had already paid in full ahead of time and had chosen that apt because it was the only 2 bedroom available. I told her that I knew it was the owner's niece and that clearly the owner's were at fault for not making her an actual reservation and removing the availability from the website. The office manager was very nice and extremely apologetic and I didn't want to take it out on her. She offered us our pick of any other available apt or even two apts, if I wanted to let my teen boys stay in their own, to which I had to say, Are you serious? people walked into my room in the middle of the night and you think I'm going to put my kids in their own room?! I eventually had to pick a room and move. They refunded 2 of our 3 night stay, I never got an apology from the actual owner, and the niece enjoyed her time by the pool screaming into her cell phone and acting quite the diva. If you are a single mom, or literally anyone who does not enjoy strangers letting themselves into your hotel room in the middle of the night, then this is not the place for you."

"The location was perfect & right on the beach. The room we stayed in, unit 2, was perfect for the 2 of us. Mother & daughter. Clean & just enough space with a great kitchen. Only 1 downside was the pull out sofa mattress was so thin I felt like I was sleeping on the frame. Other than that everything was great. They even have a community room that you can borrow books, games & Movies."

"This was our first time at the Beachcomber and we were very pleased! Upon arrival, there were a few housekeeping issues that we reported right away. All issues were cleared up within 30 minutes. The following morning, our Kuerig didn’t work, and maintenance showed up with a replacement. Later, that evening, he came back to make sure all was ok with the new one. If you’re looking for fancy, with lots of amenities, you’re not going to find it here. If you’re looking for clean, charming, friendly (staff & guests!) quiet, peaceful, beautiful views, non-crowded beach, this place is PERFECT! We are usually “on the go”, finding things to do throughout the day, but found ourselves perfectly content walking on the beach or just sitting by, or floating in, the gulf, or the pool."

"Great location in quiet neighborhood. Uncrowded beach, search for shark teeth or just relax. Pool is just outside your room and great for floating. Watch gorgeous sunsets from right outside your room. Wonderful place with great friendly staff."
