YCA Vacation Condos

"This is an older, but clean condo rental. Each unit is owned separately. We were in #28, gulf side, but you can't see the gulf because of the sand berm. Nice location near jetty and short drive to downtown Venice. We loved the quiet complex, met some lovely people. The unit was well equipped including beach gear and kit spices, but a small TV. The only drawback is that they only provide 1 bath towel per person, which is ridiculous. There are warnings you will be charged extra if you use more than 1 beach towel or bath towel. So bring your own towels! I only gave it 3 stars for the room, because it is really old with discolored and dingy tiles/caulk in bathrooms, a/c is spotty, ceiling fan makes a lot of noise and wobbles, could use some paint/fix up. If this were a hotel, you would find it listed as a 2 star hotel. Despite these minor issues, we will return as we know what to expect!"

"This place really has a lot going for it. The rooms are fine for a beach getaway and really the location right on the beach is almost perfect. However, that may be where my compliments end. I would not recommend YCA rentals for a family vacation. There are several residents (or long term renters?) that park themselves at the pool all day every day, drinking all day long. There were a few occasions when these individuals saw us coming their way and basically applauded when we headed to the beach instead with our shy 3 year old girl. We did not feel welcome at all. Also the pool is tiny and goes from 3ft to 8ft almost immediately, but that’s beside the point here. On another occasion we were inside of our cottage (I had JUST gotten out of the shower) when the manager of the property literally came barging inside our room (fully opening the back door and coming inside!) because she said she heard a dog barking inside our room. Um what? I have traveled a ton and I have never experienced such strange community vibes as I have at this place. We’ll find a different location to rent the next time we come back to visit my In Laws in Venice again."

"Wonderful location on the gulf, swimming pool, and vintage Florida. Stacey was super helpful getting us a condo on short notice. Kitchen was fully equipped even though we only made breakfast. Highly recommended."

"This was my second visit and I will most definitely be back in late summer or early fall. The accommodations were fantastic, very clean and comfortable. What a great location. We were able to take our morning walk and grab a coffee and or breakfast. Evenings were spent at the local establishments for dinner and sunsets. Most of our time was spent at the beautiful beach or poolside. The grounds are immaculately clean and Stacye and Charlie were so nice and they made our stay like being home away from home. We really didn't want to leave. Can't wait to see you again later in the year."

"Location! Location! Location!! Not to mention, southern hospitality at it's finest. The onsite managers were super responsive and accommodating during our stay. The courtyard area was delightful. Grounds were immaculately kept. Love the close proximity to the beach and walking distance from the cutest little tavern, Crow's Nest. Super clean and comfortable condo. Looking forward to our return in three months. Special THANKS to the managers (Stacye and Charlie) for an incredible, first ever visit to Venice Island."
