"Since Oceanaire took over Golf Terrace some noticeable things have declined. Maintenance gets things fixed at a significantly slower pace, but the maintenance and management people are still polite (why I scored this two stars instead of 1). The trash dumpster area has been attended to less than prior Golf Terrace Apartment community maintenance. After the roof in building K was worked on (right above me), during the summer, the mess from the fallen debris was left in my apartment's closet. They say they were going to take care of it, twice but have yet to take care of it (see pictures). Fixing the roof and this debris report is over a 4-month gap. Water stains on the ceiling (nearly everywhere in the apartment) have been happening for years. Regarding my tub drain, it has been attempted to be fixed by maintenance, but they couldn't fix it but would have it reported for further maintenance. This was weeks ago, but after a week or so, I checked with the front office management to find that there was no report to have it continued to be worked on. Today, I called over Roto-Rooter to fix it. RR nearly guaranteed that they would fix it, but for $800+ that the apt. community would not reimburse and discourage outsourcing maintenance as I would be liable for any damages. That's understandable, but frustrating that I'm at the mercy of a slow apartment maintenance and management to fix a tub drain, that needs bailing out after every shower. Also, the paint chip in the tub has been there for over half a year. It's been documented but is yet to be fixed. Additionally, I live on the third floor. The elevator that is next to me has been broken over ~2 months. It's a very problematic elevator that has been out multiple times for the 5 years I've been living here. I have not gone into the laundry facilities, in my building (building K), because many of the washing machines and/or dryers have been broken. That being said, I have not used those facilities in over a year, maybe two. Have been going down the street to a local laundromat. Maybe they have worked on that laundry room. I'm not sure."
"I moved in at the first of October and I had a bad experience with the move in. My apartment hadn’t been clean upon my move in and my shower was a big paint mess. The gentleman who had taken care of me with all my paperwork didn’t give me a sticker for my car so it got towed as well. However, the assistant manager Tim handled on my issues professionally and things were taken care of as the should be. So thank you Tim for your patience and fixing my issues!"
"Do not waste your time with this place. It is a dump, and the units are in shambles. My apartment has been over 80°F for weeks. They have “tried” to repair my AC, but the efforts have not been successful whatsoever. I often speak with my neighbor and the state of her musty apartment often brings her to tears. Outside of the 9 failed attempts to fix my AC unit, they haven’t even provided me with a temporary solution such as providing a portable AC unit to make my apartment habitable. They offered me a portable AC unit a month after it broke, THE DAY THEY FIXED IT, only because I mentioned how disappointed I was that it wasn’t fixed. And they only offered to move me to a different unit after I brought that up myself as well. I’ve spoken with management again and again, and they really love making promises they don’t keep. They’ve even asked me to write a review about how hard they have tried to help me. Ive learned that they don’t care about the state of living provided or any resident that lives here at all. I’d like to clarify that the maintenance guy was wonderful and worked really hard to try to fix my AC; I fully blame management. EDIT: they put an old address in their reply; they can’t even be reached through that one. .."
"Once now maybe twice management has changed since being a resident here . I love the spacious layout but that’s about the only good i can mention oh & the gym. Point is hopefully now after continuous years of inconsistent quality service from the laundry room to “ Dog Park “ the countless ongoing weeks of no bags in the Dispenser. ( 3 separate locations as well as the Dirt Park for Dogs ) yet no bags accessible Anyways let me stop complaining I’m blessed to have a roof over my head , food on the table & access to clean drinking water There is individuals out there ready to trade positions but i’m here to hopefully aquire some attention to the little things that matter in any community . The Little things go along way . Let’s do Better Oceanair"
"Visited yesterday (1.14.23) for a tour after having seen listings practically everywhere online for their 2 bed 2 bath option. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my inner checklist of my "minimum must-haves" scratched one box after the other. They have some very nice units with spacious, open floorplans, laminate flooring with carpeted bedrooms, stackable washer/dryer in select units, on site laundry otherwise... I had a good feeling about this complex overall and even though we were eager for answers to all the typical questions and despite management having literally just changed hands, all of our queries were answered by our leasing agent - whose personal mixed-brand of down to earth professionalism was greatly appreciated and very helpful. The Oceanaire Apartments are currently winning the #1 top spot on my list of possibilities. Rent, fees and all that fun stuff is comparable and in line with others in the vicinity. Not much else to tell at the moment. Most likely.... More to come."
