"Been coming here for years. The hotel is updated with a throwback to “old” Florida-style decorating (colorful, florals, etc). Great pools and access to the private beach are the icing on the cake. Highly recommend."

"What a lovely place. We visited in December, and the holiday decorations were beautiful and refined. The lobby smelled so wonderfully that we bought a diffuser with the hotel's signature scent. Wonderful food, great cleaning service by the maid. Super convenient location. Nice appointments in the room. Even the room's coffee station and bathroom layout were a cut above."

"I had two very different experiences at Lago Mar. We stayed there for 3 days before our cruise and had an amazing time. We were welcomed with open arms by very friendly front desk staff who seemed genuinely happy we were there. The grounds were clean and we had no issues quickly getting into our room. Rooms are very nice but the bathrooms need updating. Second stay - day we returned from our cruise - was not as pleasant. We walked in and the front desk staff member was incredibly rude and unprofessional. We had brought a few family members with us to eat lunch and swim before they took off for their flights and the person at the front desk was very rude to us about them not being able to come in. We didn’t have an issue with the policy but he was visibly irritated with us about it and just overall rude to me while I checked my family in (FWIW I’m also 24 weeks pregnant and we were staying for an extra day to relax). The grounds had a lot more trash everywhere than our stay the previous week and our room was not ready for hours - 4 PM is super late for check in IMHO. Where the resort shines is the pool, the bar and wait staff, and the soda shop staff. I’m not sure we will stay there again after our experience checking in for our second visit though. This was after I spent the entire week raving about our first stay."

"The Lago Mar is a fantastic resort for all ages. My three teenagers had a great time playing mini golf, shuffle board, and chess. We saw plenty of littles enjoying the playground and pool. The rooms were spacious enough for my adult sized kids to have their own twin beds. The private King bedroom was a great addition for mom and dad. The first night we noticed that the floor of our room was quite wet from a storm the occurred before we arrived. We were promptly moved and upgraded. The Lago Mar has fantastic customer service. On our final day, we were away during the gift shop hours, but we wanted to purchase a Lago Mar ornament. I was able to call the gift shop, and they not only charged it to my room but had it waiting for me when we returned for the night. Definitely would recommend."
