La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft Lauderdale Cypress Cr

"Yesterday morning I left the hotel to go out to travel, and I put my coat on the hotel chair. When I came back, I found that besides the room had been cleaned, my coat was also gone. I guess that the cleaning crew picked up my coat by mistake. I went to contact the front desk and the staff said that the people who cleaned up had gone off duty, but would call my guest room that night. However, I didn't get a call all night. I then tried to call the front desk, and another person answered the phone, also saying that it was unavailable today. As I flew out the next morning, I couldn't wait until the next day. I gave him my email in the hope that he could contact me by email the next day after the results were available, and he agreed. However, a whole day passed and I still didn't hear from them. Since I'm in Canada, I can't get their number. I'm pretty sure my clothes were there, but they were gone when I came back. It was not really a big deal, I did not suspect theft, only that it had been taken by mistake. However, I do not appreciate the their problem-solving attitude. It seems like they never take it seriously, so I'm disappointed. It was the coat that had been with me the longest and I was very sad to lose it."

"Our room was not cleaned the 2nd day there. The other couple in our group 2 doors down from us, had their room cleaned without problem. We specifically called down to the desk around 3pm to ask if maid service was being provided and the desk clerk was unapologetic stating "they'll be there when they get there." The maid cart was literally on the our floor. When we returned to the room around 10:30pm, room still had not been touched. When we called down to the desk to offer complaint we were told we could come down to get clean towels "if we wanted them." No apologies for returning to a dirty room, no offer to bring towels up to us and acted as if we were being unreasonable for expecting maid service to have been provided at all. The so called "breakfast" was disgusting the eggs were swimming in water, and the sausage links tased rancid. We promptly threw it away and drove to the closest breakfast restaurant available. We should have paid more attention to the bad reviews already posted and steered clear! Live and learn I guess!"

"Reserved this hotel for a birthday vacation. We are staying at this hotel as I write this, and can't be more happy with our stay. This hotel is clean. The staff is wonderful. The pool area is beautiful and the rooms have comfortable beds and pillows. Nice shower. The breakfast is wonderful and presented beautifully. I Highly recommend. Thanks to all the employees for a wonderful week... even if it has been cold and rainy. Hoping for a sunny day today!!!"

"Hello-The room itself was a pleasant surprise however I would like to bring to your attention that the door into room 106 and the bathroom seem to big for their spaces. You really had to push and pull to get the doors open and closed . Also the bed closest to the window should be replaced. The mattress or box spring is sunken so you're sort of sleeping on a slant. I thought switching the mattress from the foot to the head would make a difference and it didn't so it must be the box spring. Again the room was clean and modernized but the two mentions above if they weren't an issue would have gotten you 5 stars."

"Not sure what’s going on at this property. It’s so strange, the pictures online look NOTHING like the actual property or rooms. The hotel staff was EXCELLENT. Everyone was friendly and they were on the ball. The breakfast that’s included was well stocked. The pool area was decent, thank goodness, because i dreaded spending any time inside. The room- here we go. The beds are SO noisy. I’m talking you move half an inch and the whole room is waking up, that’s how squeaky they are. The lighting is bizarre. I’ve never stayed in a hotel where there isn’t a light on the stand between the beds. Well, there isn’t one. All the lamps are on one side of the room, the other side gets nothing. The bathroom door is so old and needs replaced, same with closet doors. The doors aren’t even the same length- bizarre. The hallway ceiling obviously had a leak at some point and was never replaced/repaired. I always thought Wyndham was a reputable company. Shame on you for not investing resources into this property. Will never stay at a Wyndham owned property again."
