"No service at all. Even rude. But good installation and good location. On their website and on social media they say they have a shuttle to the airport. when we arrived there they said I hallucinated this. Despite the evidence. finally I found the shuttle parked back in their parking lot. They are not even able to find a reservation. they told me I didn't have a reservation. I had to hang up and call three times so that they finally said they had my reservation and she didn't want to apologize, saying that sometimes the system bug. So stressful and they remain rude. Forget the idea to talk to their supervisor it's impossible and also forget breakfeast at least you want to wait three hours Good luck! Enjoy your stay!"
"This is a new Marriott Courtyard in downtown Ft, Lauderdale, so I had high expectations. We had disembarked from a cruise ship and arrived at the hotel around 9:30 am. Our first interaction with hotel staff was with the woman at the front desk. She was the woman who answers all questions with one word: “No.” Me: “Is there a room available in the category we selected (suite).” Her: “No.” Not really surprising considering how early we were. Me: “OK, no problem. Can you text me or call me when a room is available?” Her: “No.” Now this is surprising. We pursued this inability to notify us when a room was available. She claimed the hotel is unable to send text messages. Wait, isn’t it 2024 already? She said that if I checked in on the app and requested a mobile key, I would get a notification when the room is ready. This turned out to be not true. I received the notification 10 minutes after we returned to the hotel and collected physical room keys. Me: “Can you store our luggage until a room is available?” Her: “No. The valet downstairs at the front might be able to help you.” We left the hotel and returned at 3pm, and found that a room had been available for some time. We asked if there would be complimentary bottled water in the room (a standard elite benefit— I am Ambassador Elite). Her answer (you guessed it): “No.” Me: “Do you have water at the front desk you could give me?” Her: “No.” She did agree to give us two bottles of Dasani which they normally charge several dollars each for. Me: “I would like the food and beverage credit as offered in the Bonvoy app (a standard elite benefit).” Her” “No, we don’t participate in that.” This hotel does provide all guests $20 per day food and beverage credit which makes up for that, but really, what happened to Marriott elite benefits being available at all Marriott hotels? The suite we were assigned was comfortable (to be expected in a hotel that is virtually new). However, there was a complete lack of bathroom amenities such as lotion, and towels were Motel 6-grade. The rooftop bar is in the pool area. This property is a party hotel (surprising since its located near downtown Ft. Lauderdale, a couple of miles from the beach). The bar closes at midnight, disgorging drunk guests into the hotel hallways, falling against hotel room doors and yelling. I guess it’s South Florida in high season, so I should have expected it. If you are OK with the “No” lady and the party people, the hotel isn’t bad."
"Perfect downtown Fort Lauderdale spot. The service is excellent and rooms are very clean. Prices are reasonable as well. The front desk staff are always ready to help and a very big shout out to Jason from Group Sales. He is the best. Make sure to check out the gorgeous rooftop pool and bar."
"I stayed two nights. The service was great. Valet parking is not amazing. You have to pay for it, and they literally leave the car on the street right there all night. The room facing the main street ( N Fed Hayway) is super noise. Also, the AC is very loud, too. The price was on the high end for this type of service. I loved that it was dog friendly, though."
"I stayed here in July 2021 for 2 nights! Great location and very clean. Was easy to get here from the airport too. Very comfortable. The pool and bar on the rooftop were beautiful! Didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel because I was at the beach and with friends, but I was able to sleep well. It was really a great hotel and would be interested in staying there again!"
