"I'm a diamond member. Being a diamond member for over 10 years. If u can avoid staying our dealing with this hotel. Don't stay. Very bad rained management. They need to be fired. Used my card to check me inn, before I even got to the hotel for check-in. When I call to talk and we had differences. They turned around and just canceled my reservation and got me charged for the stay. And I didn't ask them to cancel my reservation. They need new staff that knows how to do there job. From Manager on down to desk clarks."
"I was going to wait until I returned home to write a review, but after an incident with house keeping, I have to post one. I am a seasoned traveler as well as a Hilton honors member for at least 15 years. I was in my hotel room watching TV and waiting for housekeeping to service our room. They knocked on the door just after 2:30 pm and I asked the young lady if she needed me to leave and she mumbled a yes. I asked her a minute later if I should leave and she replied if you want to. So I decided to sit on the sofa and as long as I stayed out of her way, she can do whatever she needed to do. Another woman called me to the door and informed me that I needed to step out so she can clean the room. I responded I asked her twice and she said I could leave or stay. I was told by the older woman that she didn't understand the question. So I left and am in the lobby. This stay has been less than satisfactory as the first night here, my car was towed away and it cost me $197.00 to get it back. The parking here is atrocious and the hotel charges $30 dollars per night. I do understand this is a large city with little space, and as for the tow, the manager on duty credited me one night for the parking. The purpose of our trip here was for a medical conference at the convention center. Please be prepared to spend money here in this area of Florida. Everything is expensive. Parking is scarce so plan your parking and make sure you pay attention to signs wherever you park. Towing companies are lurking to hook up anyone who parks illegally and to get your car back, these towing places are in bad areas. Tripped over a homeless person while walking downtown. Try the Riverwalk with shops and eateries. Be prepared to spend. Had a 19 dollar salad and spent over 80 dollars for dinner . Home2 suites is a good Hilton property but the quality of service varies on where in Florida you are standing. The front desk and manager were professional and kind."
"My stay was for the evenings of 1/16/24 and 1/17/24. Below are a few details of my stay. *The water at the hotel was discolored like that of a third world country. When I asked the lady at the service desk about it. She stated that's just Broward County water district. Then get a filtration system. The attached photos do not accurately depict the true murkiness of the water. *No hot water the morning of check out *The parking garage is nearly impossible if you have a larger vehicle. *Room service is only offered every other night. They should allow the customer to decide what services they need. *Shower Soap dispenser was empty on arrival. Glad I packed my own. *Bathroom cleanliness is not what I would expect of a Hilton property. I just wanted to offer a glimpse of what you will be in for at this Hilton property. Happy and safe travels!"
"My family and I travel to Colombia once a year to visit family. We fly through Fort Lauderdale from Denver and it is very difficult to make a connection as the airport is very outdated and making it through customs is generally over an hour and a half every time. So we stay in a hotel for the night before making our way home. This time we chose Home 2. I was mostly impressed by Kelly at the front desk who was very accommodating and very gracious. I felt like our room could have been more tidy especially the bathroom. The breakfast was decent and the pool and gym were both decent. The location is great as there are quality restaurants and nice museums within walking distance. Overall my biggest gripe is that the bathroom should have been cleaned deeper but the best part was Kelly at the front desk who was very professional. I would recommend the hotel to business people and families alike."
"If you value your time and want to check-in on time avoid this location. 2hr45min to get checked in room. Hanging out in lobby with my family. Room wasn't clean at all with broken items. Shower wasn't clean at all. Took 1hr45min to get sheets for pull-out couch that would be 'right up'. Hotel not up to Hilton standards. Location is great though so there is that."
