"My eye prescription for glasses was wrong from the Apopoka office and here is the story. I had surgery on both eyes and when it came time to get glasses the test were done and a prescription was written. I took this prescription to Costco and the glasses were ready in about 2 weeks, up close they were fine but after wearing them for 20 minutes it was plain something was wrong. I could not see a license plate on the car in front of me. My eyes and head hurt. I. went back to Costco to have them check the glasses against the prescription; they matched. I then went to Magruder Eye Institute and was told optical would contact me they could do nothing that day. I did not hear from them for a little over a week . I called their office and they made an appointment for a week later. After testing me again I was given a new prescription and was told it was just slightly off and Costco would not charge to redo the glasses. I think the least you could have done was apologize and tell the truth. When I went to get new lens for the glasses I was told the prescription was way off. I tend not to believe you because of the history behind this experience."
"The optical person forgot about my glasses so I waited two weeks called she completely dropped the ball. So after waiting another 3 weeks she called she told me I could come in to pick them up she never mentioned they close for lunch. Such a small common courtesy. Very disappointed. I need cataract surgery. There is no way in the world I would let these clowns touch my eyes ever again No wonder they have such a bad reputation."
"Customer service over the phone is pitiful. No body don't understand anything just to transfer the call after being on hold for 30min to talk to a recorder. Then to call be back waited again for 30min just so the system to say leave a call back number how frustrating that was. And I read in other reviews you addressed one review but not the phone situation. Every one love good comments it is some reviews you need to look into to fix so you can addressed the issue not just the compliments"
"The visit was quick. However the last portion of the visit could've went smoother. Daniella needs more help fitting people for their glasses. In addition she needs to reveal what a person insurance covers prior to asking them to choose a pair of glasses. The tactic she used was just pick out some glasses and then we can discuss prices. That was a trick in favor of the eye institute. Once she told me what the insurance covered I had to ask her about the glasses that were in my price range. Instead of wasting my time she should have immediately told me about the prices and what the insurance covered. Spending additional money should be a choice patients receive up front. I felt like I was being tricked intentionally. The only reason she told me about the cheaper glasses is because I had to keep asking about what was in my price range."
"I have had my annual eye exam at this office for the past 2 years and it was a very positive experience. However, I am due for my annual eye exam for this year and have tried to call to schedule an appointment 3 days in a row and nobody answers the phone. I am on hold for at least 30 minutes each time, listening to the recording telling me how important their customers are to them, before I finally hang up."
