"The pool hours are noon to 10 pm that's a first, and breakfast was 6 to 9 which is also shorten than expected, seen comments about the breakfast. We didn't think it was all that bad, at least they had breakfast and it is free geesh. Location was good, food places, gas stations and a dollar general what more do you need, would stay here again"
"Prefect for what we need! It was very clean and surprisingly the breakfast included was more than I had expected! I had biscuits and gravy and my husband had a waffle. The front desk crew was friendly, attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean and felt safe. I read other reviews about the parking(which isn’t a big deal, drive around back and you can see your car) but it’s not at the fault of the people that run this hotel. Might’ve been a zoning issue so keep that in mind. All in all, it was a great stay!"
"DO NOT BOOK HERE. ROACHES IN ROOM 301 AND WHO KNOWS WHERE ELSE. I was woken up in the middle of the night to a roach on my arm. I packed my 4 year old up and had to leave @ 3:00 in the morning. Went down to the lobby, no one was there. I decided to wait and empty all my bags in case there were any creepy crawlies trying to travel home with us. While waiting, I called the front desk in case they were in the back sleeping. I don't know where the attendant (Laura) was, but she came waltzing in the from door after about 30 minutes of waiting. Offered me a replacement room instead of a refund which I already thought was ridiculous. Was told only a manager could refund and I needed to call back later in the morning. I called back later and the manager was not there, but the lady who I spoke to instead told me to send over proof of my roach experience as I had mentioned I took pictures and videos. She mentioned pest control was coming to inspect as well and she would call me back with the results of the inspection (because I guess my pictures and video weren't going to be enough). No call back that day. Next morning, I call and am told the manager will call me back. He, Nick, does and offers a measly 15% off of my stay. He claims the pics I sent were "hazy" to both him AND the pest control company. To make matters worse, claims the pest control company (Lookout Pest Control) did not find any traces of pests. So not only does the hotel and its management suck, but so does the company they hire to keep pests out. I tell Nick that 15% off is not enough. He offers 20%. The fact he is offering anything is an admittance of guilt in itself. I accept the 20% then say that I would like corporate's number because I plan to report it to them and request the rest of my refund. He then proceeds to retract the 20% discount if I am going to call corporate. (Like what is going on here!?) I tell him I won't call corporate so that he will give me the 20% refund. I googled the corporate number and will be calling them. This staff has zero integrity and morality. DO NOT BOOK HERE. the manager has claimed that the problem has been addressed and resolved, but how could it when the pest control company has said there isn't a problem? These people are sick and are in the wrong business if they don't care ANYTHING about people and their well-being."
"Stayed here twice on our trip this fall. We chose the location based on convenience for our trip route. Price for rooms can vary by as much as $100 per night, depending on what's happening at Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls. Just be aware. Positives: + Our rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were reasonably comfortable. + A family member traveled with us and we had adjacent rooms (even adjoining rooms the 2nd time). + Breakfast was ok. The attendant kept everything well stocked. We especially enjoyed the quality yogurt and the cinnamon roll mini waffles. + Staff was courteous and good-natured, even on the busy weekend of our first stay. Negatives: - The parking isn't convenient; it's just a property layout problem. Long walk to a door for most of the spaces. It would help if the hotel provided luggage carts that could carry more than one item. - Room air conditioner struggled to cool the room to 65 after a day in the 80s outside. - It's really not sanitary to have the ice bucket and the coffee maker stored inches away from the toilet in the bathroom. Time to change that pattern before the Health Department gets wind of this."
"Our room upon arrival smelled like stale smoke. They didn’t have any more of our room type, but said they would deodorize it while we were out for dinner which they did. The following day after returning from being out all day we discovered black mold in the shower and were told again that there was no room to move to and to speak with the manager about compensation. When using the shower (after travel can disinfecting it) the soap bubbles backed up through the drain in the middle of the bathroom floor. Manager did not provide the choice hotel compensation points he stated he would and I had to contact customer service to get it resolved. Breakfast was good however."
