Sola Station 325 Taylor Street, Columbia, SC 29201

"I've lived here for almost three years now and loved it however, since Bierkiller moved in everything has changed. What was once a quiet, professional living community is now a brewery first, and apartment complex second. I can not overstate how annoying it is to come home from work on normal week nights to deal with standstill traffic in a parking garage, crowded illegal parking on the street, unable to find a spot near your apartment and then have your apartment shake because of loud music going on until 8-9 PM. If you love Bierkiller and it's markets and concerts, the best thing you can do would be to live here, you'll get the full experience every night! If you want a quiet professional place to live, I suggest looking somewhere else! I will update this review in the coming months with images and videos to demonstrate the challenges. Update: Sola management responded to my review asking me to contact them. I reached out to them 2 months ago about this and nothing has/had improved. I only left this review because their response (On October, 4, 2023): "Bierkeller will be hosting events similar to this periodically. There may not always be a band, but they will be using the Esplanade for various events. If you feel that these events will negatively impact your residency at Sola Station, and you no longer want to move forward with your renewal, please let us know." Because my roommate is leaving in 9 months and we had to make a decision within a few days of receiving that response, we decided to sign a limited-time lease to align with his completion of graduate school."

"Just wanted to send some extra kudos to the maintenance team! Kris was super helpful with the smoke detector and even installed a ceiling light in my large living room. The maintainence team is one of the best things about Sola Station. Very grateful for these guys!"

"I lived here for 2 years and overall had a great experience. The maintenance is super friendly and responds to requests very quickly. I never had any problems with safety and I lived on the first floor alone in the parking garage building. There were instances of the garage being broken into but that is apart of living in downtown Columbia (my car has gotten broken into multiple times the 9 years I lived downtown Columbia) so I don’t fault Sola Station as I felt it was pretty inevitable. The staff was very friendly but they were often hard to get in touch with and I had to follow up with them regarding multiple requests. Beware of Karen neighbors.. they have taken over this complex."

"Sola Station is a great place to live! we lived here 2 years and we are sad to leave! maintenance is extremely quick in fixing problems and usually came in the same day! everyone in the office is so helpful and the place is VERY well kept!!! the community is wonderful and the buisnesses underneath are a plus! these apartments are extremely nice and affordable highly recommended moving here!!"
