"We decided to stay in this hotel after we read some interesting articles about it. The rooms, the hallways, the great room etc were all unique in way to remind you of the old glory. The services were mostly good. There were a couple of incidents that worth mentioning: When my husband asked the front desk to make our room at 3 PM, the front desk person suggested that the room wasn’t made because we left the “DO NOT DISTURB “ sign out which we didn’t. Even if we did, we don’t think it’s a good form to blame your customers for job wasn’t done. Also when I mentioned to her that there were two used robes hanging at the bathroom door, she looked at me as if I killed her mother! The look was priceless I kidded you not. She forced out:”Sorry!” And that was that. Besides those little hiccups, the place is nice. I love their breakfast, you pick whatever you want from the form and they will bring it to you with a smile. There are always special performances during the wine and cheese time in the afternoon. For example, on Valentine’s Day, there was a harp performance and we all received a red rose. That’s very nice. Overall, I’ll recommend this hotel."
"The location was right in the heart of the historic area. The service was wonderful. This morning Greg and Dana made our check out as smooth as could be. The breakfast was tasty and the service there was great as well. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating as soon as we walked in the door. If you love historic hotels, please try this one out."
"My husband and I just spent 2 nights at this amazing hotel. Everything was wonderful, our room was a decent size (we stayed in the Superior King), very comfortable and clean. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The wine and cheese reception every night was nice. Breakfast in the morning was also very nice. It was very conveniently located so walking everywhere wasn't an issue. We parked our car in a nearby garage and didn't use it the whole time we were there. Our room was located on the supposedly haunted 4th floor but, unfortunately, we didn't encounter any strange happenings. So happy we chose to stay at this historic inn rather than a big box chain. We will definitely stay here anytime we are in Savannah."
"My wife and stayed here on our anniversary while visiting Savannah for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. The hotel itself was very nice and very well kept for its age! We stayed in room 202 on the second floor in the corner of the hotel. Now the room itself was nice but my wife and I definitely experienced some weird things while here. Our toothbrushes turned on the first night around 3:45 am, we also heard banging from the bathrooms walls both nights and what sounded like people taking loudly. The breakfast in the morning very good as well. The hotel staff here were also all excellent. They ensured the flowers I order made it to the room as well as the last minute champagne I requested before we arrived. The valet was also helpful and retrieved my wife’s medicine from the car."
"Great history, and the Marshall House exemplifies Southern Hospitality, They could’ve have been more helpful with our requests! The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast had plenty of options and left us more than satisfied. The afternoon cheese and wine break was a wonderful addition to an already great stay! Dana, at guest services, was very helpful getting us pointed in the right direction for the last 1.5 hr. Free time before heading to the airport, and it afforded us a nice self directed walking tour of River Street. We can’t wait to go back and stay there again! I highly recommend The Marshall House for convenient, comfortable, friendly, welcoming, and great Savannah lodging!"
