"THERE IS A $40-$50 valet parking fee. I'm glad I read a google review about the parking before I got there because I would not have been happy as the person who took my reservation did not advise us of this fee. There is an overhang where you pull in to meet valet and unload your luggage. Each time we were out there someone was out on the bench smoking, as soon as you exit the hotel it was a face full of cigarette smoke. The room was not the best, the bed was very worn and U shaped. The street traffic was super loud, it sounded like bombs going off all night when traffic would pass by and bounce off of the potholes in the street. The location is very good if you are wanting an evening downtown however, if you are traveling and want actual rest this is not the hotel for you. EDIT: IHG, thank you for the snarky response. I will be sure to stay with other brands in the future. Prior to your response I preferred IHG. I have stayed in multiple major city centers and the noise is not nearly this bad. Nor is this an excuse for worn out furniture or people smoking at your entrance. Your response is a direct reflection on you, and your brand. Hospitality is not your strong suit."
"We only stayed 2 nights and just wanted somewhere to sleep whilst we explored the surrounding area. It’s a great location and it was really well located for everything we wanted which was bars, restaurants, bike hire, shops and the river. The bed was really comfy and the room was clean. We had a king sized bed which we paid a bit extra for. The walk in shower was powerful and everywhere in the room looked clean. The only reason I’m not giving this hotel a 5 star review is the amount of disposable plastic used. The “free” breakfast is included but I’m sure it’s a hidden cost so that you can’t complain! It’s a very basic breakfast. It is all processed food and the only natural thing is plastic wrapped fruit. The plates are paper but everything else is disposable plastic. There is no where to recycle and the amount that gets used and wasted is phenomenal and just for a tasteless breakfast but people think it’s great because it’s “free”! I’d rather pay $10 less on the room and have no breakfast. It’s quite shocking that as a member of a large hotel chain that this is happening."
"A very clean and neat, and dog loving hotel. My pups, Doris and Vinnie are having a blast. The staff is so warm and friendly. Our room isn't huge, but very accommodating with a comfy king sized bed. The shower water pressure is perfect. The hotel is in a great spot and an easy walk to shops and restaurants."
"The room was clean, but meh. I would have liked a mirror in the room so you didn't have to wait for the bathroom to be available. This was a little bit of a challenge since I was with 3 other people. Bed and pillows were comfortable. We did have the hotel breakfast, which was about $14 per person, which was reasonable. Lady A, the hostess, was very friendly and gave us some great suggestions of things to see. The location was very good. An easy walk to the river walk and other notable places. Parking, it seemed like there wasn't much, so be prepared to pay $45 for overnight parking."
"Not sure how to rate this place because for me , I don't want valet parking that they charge for and not being able to get to your car at a moments notice. I am from the country, so dark alleys and homeless people all around, sirens going I am not a fan. So I go in and was able to cancel my reservation. Thank goodness for the lady behind the counter canceled it no problem. I drove 8 minutes to another holiday inn that was brand new with free self parking, which made my stay much better. I'm sure if you are into valet parking you'll be fine and being in walking distance from everything it's fine.. The inside of the hotel was Nice and the staff was nice, just getting to it was hard. Had to go down a side street to find the entrance."
