"Oh my, this was such an amazingly, fun and wonderful experience. I was located where I. Oils walk the whole downtown, Riverwalk, and city market. I was located near the bus station near the trolley station. I could not have asked for a better place to stay. Everyday was an adventure. There was so much to experience. It took me three days to explore everything on foot. The parking was challenging so foot was so much better if you are able to walk and own an awesome pair of walking shoes."
"Booked a last minute room last weekend for my husband and senior dog. Staff was all friendly from the front desk, valet and bartender. Got a handicap room so we could have a tub. Which if you need more privacy do this so you don't have to have an open shower. Only know this since we have stayed in a different new Aloft in Sandy Springs earlier this year. I don't mind since we aren't sharing the room with family, friends or co workers. Location was convent to get to everything. Went to SCAD so I am very familiar with the area since my dorm was a block away. They had a little gated area inside the outdoor patio for my dog to go potty. Only thing negative I have to say is that the flooring in the room and the hallways has had some wear and tear on it from construction. Flooring in the room had some chipped corners/edges of the VLP off and there was some paint over spray. Thought it was dust collecting but it was just that. The carpet in the hallways had drywall dust collected in the corners under the baseboards. Other than that the stay was great. Thanks for making one of my last memories and trip to Savannah for my dog amazing. We had to put her down Tuesday when we got back home from the trip."
"1. Nice room, excellent location. 2. Clean, modern design, quiet, nice street view. 2. The hotel had a $35 mandatory valet parking fee which was not mentioned during booking. 3. Open shower - no curtain - only glass door. Can be good for couple, but can be huge cultural shock for many, especially travelling with children. This is not uncommon in Europe, but should have been specifically mentioned in US locations. 4. Our room didn't have regular coffee - called the reception and was told they'll bring it to the room. Waited for 30 minutes, called again, same response. Waited for 15 more minutes, went downstairs and grabbed some. I understand the facility was understaffed, but would have appreciated more if the front desk personnel had explained the situation and asked to go down and collect."
"My only complaint is that they could offer something complimentary to eat with coffee in the morning. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay on Thanksgiving week!!! Super friendly staff!! Our room was clean! I enjoyed the gym as well. This hotel is super pet friendly which we appreciated!! Very convenient location close enough to river street."
"This hotel is in a perfect location if you are attending an event at the Clyde Venue or Civic Center. If I am going to park my car and unload it why can’t I have access to it. I would have still paid 35 to keep my own key. Second the front desk gave me keys that did not work to my room twice. Going up and down your elevator is not a quick process so if a guest says the key is not working, trust the key is not working. I was told maybe I wasn’t pulling on the handle hard enough. Once I was assigned to a different room and my keys were rescanned guess what I was able to get in. Work on your check in process. Thirdly if you allow dogs that’s fine. Just made sure your staff knows how to clean behind a dog..I didn’t notice until we came back in from our nights event that there was dog hair everywhere. Also it seems as if they turn your thermostat up at night or just turn the AC off. The room was not at the temperature I set the thermostat to. In my room I could also hear every time my neighbor flushed. I am sure they heard me too."
