"I don't usually write bad reviews as I prefer to speak with management and give feedback, until staff steals money from me and the management and Hyatt corporate are disinterested in taking accountability and correcting it in a reasonable timeframe. We brought a 20 person group to Bar Julian for a round of drinks while in town and the bartender decided to double the generous tip they were given on the credit card receipt. I'm going on 3 weeks of requests and calls with Hyatt corporate and still haven't received a refund. Certainly will be going out of my way to avoid Hyatt properties after this experience. Total lack of service and a big disappointment from a brand like Hyatt."
"Garbage experience. Came here for a business conference, they messed up payment for the rooms in our block. Then I remember their event manager saying the people with allergies won't feel left out, apparently that means giving them things they're allergic to anyways. Of the 3 rounds I sat for I was allergic to two of them and the one I could eat looked like something I've coughed up before. I left after that because I really couldn't trust anything they gave me. And the rooms are filled to the brim with things they want to charge you for. I felt like I was sleeping in a store rather than a room. It looks like there's a lot of room, but then every cabinet or drawer you open is full of insanely overpriced items to buy. $65 for a small candle? $150 for a bathroom? $65 for shampoo? What the heck? I just want somewhere to put my stuff. We had cocktail hour at the hotel bar and I thought I was going to go deaf! That music was crazy loud, everyone was shouting 6 inches from each other just trying to have a conversation. A lot of repeating. My throat got sore just trying to talk loud enough to be heard. There are way too many hard surfaces and not enough room to have the music that loud."
"Beautiful hotel right on the river! A little far from central Savannah, but if you enjoy walking, it's a 10 minute hike to River Street's offerings. No biggie there. Friendly staff, great Bar Julian on the roof; cute bakery and restaurant on site. The doormen were great. Would definitely stay again. The only minuses : my bathroom shower rug was frayed and tattered - needs replaced! Room was a little dusty - needs frequent attention to dusting and polishing after each guest. Showerhead was slightly off-center, and no-place in the shower stall to hang a washcloth."
"From check-in to check-out, everything was exceptional. The staff were always helpful and courteous. The in house restaurants are great and easily accessible. However, keep in mind that the bakery can only be accessed from outside of the hotel but is physically attached to the same building. On site parking is available for a fee. Bicycles are available at a first come first serve basis. They also offer transport via their Tesla driven locally my their staff, again, on a first come first serve basis. The rooms are clean and stunning. The water front views in the morning are the perfect way to wake up to in the morning. There is also a green space located right out front to hang out, eat or drink and enjoy the area. Highly recommend trying this location."
"We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms are so modern and the river view is amazing. So fun to watch the big ships come in. We were able to walk into town in Savannah during the day from the hotel - it's a little bit of a walk but still doable especially on a nice day! The food at the bakery was great for breakfast. This hotel has a great atmosphere and is perfect for a weekend getaway or more!"
